UPDATE: I made a continuation HERE!--
A new comic.... sort of still in the rough. I haven't added the tones yet, so it's mostly just line art.
I borrowed the "characters" from another doodle of mine, Left 4 Deadfast Club , since people seem to like them.
Now, if you'll excuse me... I just discovered Garry's Mod last night and have very important pictures to make, like ZOMBITRON .

UPDATE: A while back I contacted the original designer of the hunter from VALVe (Ted B) to solve the "mystery". He confirmed that the comic was correct ~ hunter's duct tape is there because he's based on parkour culture and it looks cool.

Hunters were most likely parkour artists before the infection. Taping up their sleeves were common among parkour artists as it prevents their sleeves from flapping in the wind and reducing air resistance. And of course, other people have said this many times, but I hope we can see an updated version of hunter before the infection

actually he was a parkour artist (or whatever its called) before death! they duck tape the ends of their clothing to stop wind from going up the sleeves when they jump making it easier for them

its because they're parkour people they use the tape or wrapping paper to hold there sweatshirts together so they don't get held back in the wind

He is a parkour artist, and he doesn't want his clothes catching the wind and dragging him down as he does his stunts. Thus making him move around better. Idk don't judge my guesses.

I think the reason the hunters actually did it was to try to cut the circulation off so that the infection couldn't spread.

All the failure jumps they do... hurts and still makes wounds you know.. therefor because he's a zombie, he has to tape himself up so he's not falling apart.. lol xD

Well before the infections Hunters were people who did Parkour, a sport that invoklved extreme acts of climbing and running across buildings. And a problem of this is that hoodie sleeves and pant leggings could get caught on objects druing the running and it could hurt them. The answer was for Parkour players to put duct tape on areas of their clothings that could get caught to prevent that.

Please note duct tape on a hoodie top is VERY common in the world of parkour. It nullifies wind resistance and helps aerodynamics. ^w^ Hunter = Parkour Zombie

i think the tape is to fight against wind resistance and u never no man special infect are suposed to be smarter then the average bear..... or would it be zombie idk the point is thats what it is for... and maybe hunters do know how to open doors they might just like breaking stuff insted

Actually... Did you know that some who practice Parkour do the same as him? It's so that when they wear jackets (like he is) the air won't go inside of them and slow them down or slow their movements which are usually fast. I think that the Hunter was, before infected practicing Parkour; that would also explain his agility.

He duct taped himself so there can be less wind resistance. I believed he use to do parkour before he was infected and wrapping duct tape around his clothes made him go faster.........this is awkward.........but the hoodie does make him cute.
