lovely composition, I often have trouble with keeping my camera level when I shoot without a tripod, I would probably go back to this location in the evening, with some kind of way to make sure my camera was level. It is a very nice composition, well worth trying more shots.

I always try to get an interesting angle with my pictures because as of right now I'm using my cell phone to take pictures until I can get a good camera with a tripod. I have an LG G4 so the camera really isn't so bad to get back into photography. I used to do this a few years ago as well but I had a horrible Olympus camera and it didn't have the best specs. So for now I've been really happy with my phone since a really nice camera isn't too cheap...one day though I have plans on saving up for a really nice one.

Your phone has the same camera as mine, it's a great camera, I think. I have gotten some photos with my phone, that I am very fond of. I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT DSLR as well, and my phone has higher mega-pixels than the camera does. The camera has a lot of advantages though, like interchangeable lenses, and manual zoom, and focus, plus a lot more control over aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. auto Bracketing is also a major help, and taught me a lot. Plus being able to use a tripod is essential, it's pretty rare I get any usable shots without it.
I think you're doing great, just take lots and lots of photos. When you are old like me, you'll be awesome.
