Description I hate categorizing refs. Anyways. {Huge wall of text coming up, be warned!}

HOORAY! I've been working on updating Aria's ref since summer vacation. Nearly a year! Ahh, and it's finally done! c: I'm ecstatic, really. I guess I can't really say this whole time I've been working on her ref, as I had a very long break from it. But it's been in progress since then, so I'll just say that. This is her new and final design, and if anyone remembers her previous designs, you'll notice countless changes.

New hair, new clothes {which I spent some time on deciding; I wasn't entirely sure of the type of style she would wear, but I figured since she was based off of me, I would give her a taste in clothing similar to my own}, new Pokemon. Ugh, it's really such a relief to have her updated. Especially since I'm playing as her in Platinum. That was my main motivation for starting and finishing this. I had some sketches lying about, but a couple weeks ago I just started from scratch. This would have actually been done a little sooner, but the main drawback was deciding on her first team of six {Well, except for Tobias and Ivor. Those two were there from the start}. She's got plenty of other Pokemon, and it was a challenge on narrowing it down, but I finally nailed her initial team:

Tobias the Rampardos ♂
Pluto the Steelix ♂
Ivor the Leafeon ♂
Niimbus the Drifblim ♂
Signal the Ponyta ♂
August the Seaking ♂

It's a bit irksome that they're all males, but she has others that are female, so I didn't let myself get too worked up. Like I said, this is only her first team. She's got dozens of other Pokemon {examples are Finch the Luxio, Sonus the Kricketune, Helios the Gyrados, and Orcein the Gliscor}.

Onto the bio~:

------------------------------------
Personality: Aria is a feisty girl with a lot of spirit and determination. However, being so headstrong often leads to her charging into things without thinking them through completely. Like Avery, she can come up with good strategies if she takes the time, but unlike him, she really only comes up with a single plan and hopes it works. If it doesn't, she just makes up for it on the spot with quick-thinking.
Quick-tempered, Aria can often be a sore loser, but she's mature enough to keep her anger on the down-low. Aria is very compassionate toward her Pokemon, moreso than toward other people some may observe, and even if she does lose, she makes sure to heal her Pokemon and encourage them for the next battle before she lets loose any rage. She's always proud of their efforts.
Traveling with Avery has helped Aria learn to be a bit more patient and a bit wiser. He's always keeping an eye on her in battles and even on the road in case she were to do something a bit foolish.
With her friendly demeanor, Aria likes to make friends with her Pokemon before battling with them right away. She often keeps new Pokemon out of their Pokeball for a bit to try and spend time with them to learn their personalities and unique quirks. This also helps her in battle, as she will know the types of traits they have and techniques her individual Pokemon prefer and try to use them to her advantage.
All in all, Aria is a complete package of passion, determination, and caring.

Background: Born and raised in Oreburgh City in the Sinnoh Region, Aria grew attached to Rock-Type Pokemon, and would often spend her childhood days in the nearby mountains of Mt. Coronet to play with the wild Pokemon. Her mother was always afraid of her getting into trouble with the ones who may not be so friendly, but things typically seemed to be alright. Even though she loved Pokemon, Aria was unable to start her Pokemon journey at age ten as most other Trainers did. Her father was away at Cinnabar Island in Kanto on a work-related mission. He'd been gone for three years, with small trips home in between. Aria wanted to stay home until he returned in order to help her mother around the house and just keep her company. When Aria's father did return, she'd wanted to stay home even longer to hear his stories about the trip, and make up for lost time. It wasn't until her sixteenth birthday that Aria received her first Pokemon. A few days before, her father had been working with a miner friend in the Oreburgh Mine, and they'd come across a fossil while digging. Aria's father, knowing how much his daughter loved Pokemon, had the idea of requesting the museum restore the fossil in time for Aria's birthday. And alas, on that very morning, her father handed her a PokeBall with a young Cranidos inside, whom Aria loved immediately. Nicknaming it Tobias, she began packing that very day for the start of her journey. As she left, her parents were of course sad to see their only daughter heading out on her own, but they knew she was able to take care of herself along with Tobias, and they knew she would be happy out traveling and seeing the Pokemon of Sinnoh.

It wasn't for several days into Aria's Pokemon journey that she'd met Avery. Avery had just come by ship to the Sinnoh region after a heartbreaking defeat at the Johto League. He'd been a bit discouraged, but he'd decided he wanted to start all over after taking some time to spend at home. He'd brought with him a Murkrow he'd caught a while before. While eating lunch in the forest one day, his meal was abruptly ended when a breathless Aria toppled from the ledge above him. She'd apologized and explained she was chasing a pesky Zubat that had stolen her hat. She told Avery that that hat was very important to her, as it was hand-knit by her mother. Glad to offer a hand, Avery and his Murkrow set off after the Zubat with Aria and Tobias, and they did indeed eventually retrieve her hat. Grateful, Aria thanked Avery and was about to head on her way, but Avery stopped her and inquired where it was she was headed. "Just a journey through Sinnoh, I guess," was her reply. "I don't really have a destination."

"Sounds like my situation exactly," Avery'd responded with a small smile. "Mind if I tag along?"

------------------------------------

Again, a cheesy story, but I guess you can't ask for much more out of Pokemon akhgjfjdka. < u >;; I like it so.

Well, now that I've got both refs and backgrounds done, I'd love to start actually working on the story of Aria and Avery's travels. The problem is, I don't really know what I want to do with it, if I'm actually gonna write it down and have like a series type thing, or if I just want to have it kind of in the back of my mind so if I were to RP, I would have something to go off of kind of. I dunno. Either way, I'm glad this is finished. c:
