“I’ll see you in two months, dude.”
“Hope you don’t go crazy over there. Didn’t you say your aunt had like five girls?”
“Yeah, I’m basically gonna be the only man while I stay there. Just me, my aunt and cousins. It’ll be awkward, but not like I have much other choice.”
My troublemaking had gone a little too this time. Sure, perhaps I may have broken a window or two while trying to prank a classmate, but in my defense, it was an accident. ...Kinda. Either way, my parents thought my aunt could straighten me out, so they were sending me to hers across the country for the summer. Today was the day I left, but at least I had the chance to say goodbye to my best bro, Grant.
“I won’t have my phone or anything, so we’ll just meet back up here when I come home, okay?”
“Sure thing, bro, you got it.”

“Heyyyy Grant! Gosh, it’s been ages! Get in here, I need a hug!”

It had indeed been a long and awkward summer, but not for the reasons I expected. Apparently part of my aunt’s attempts at ‘straightening’ me out involved magically turning me into a girl. I hated it at first, but… for some reason whenever I complained to my aunt it felt better and better. By the time I was about to leave, she asked me what I wanted to do, and I decided to stay a girl in a heartbeat! It just felt so right, I couldn’t imagine ever going back. Besides, it was so much fun, learning fashion, makeup and nail techniques from my cousins… Oh yeah, all my cousins. We ended up growing real close, they were happy to have another 'sister' to teach stuff to and share tips with, even if just for the summer. I was definitely keeping in touch with them.
“So yeah, I’ll be entering our final year as Zoey. If anyone asks, I’d just say I transitioned. It’s half-true anyway.”
“...Uh-huh. Wow. I’m just… confused, but also overwhelmed. You almost feel like a completely different person. Like, you’re an actual girl now.”
“Aww, thanks so much! Yeah, it took a while, and a lot of effort, but it’s totally the best thing that’s ever happened to me. What do you think of my new outfit? Cute, right?”
Though I could tell Grant had other things on his mind by his blush. We were best friends after all, I’d like to think I can tell these things, what he does when he sees a cute girl. …Not that I’m complaining. After some time, my aunt’s magic also made me start... *appreciating* certain things about boys. Their smiles, their builds, and oh god don't even get me started on their forearms... Because honestly, has Grant been working out during summer or is it just me? I’d long gone over my hesitations and denial over these new kinds of feelings, so I wasn’t ashamed to admit it when a boy was cute. Grant wasn’t just cute though. He was *hot*.
“...You know, I may have told a little fib to my parents and told them the flight got delayed, and that I’d be home a little later. So we could totally stop by somewhere and grab something to eat, if you want?”
I get close to him, intentionally touching his forearm with my now smaller hand. I couldn’t help but giggle, flirting as a girl was so much fun. The thought that I might snag a boyfriend out of this was just an incredibly appealing bonus~
“S-Sure. I mean, if you want…”
It was almost cute how he answered, I knew I had him wrapped around my finger. I grabbed a hold of his arm tightly, the way I’d seen girlfriends sometimes do with their boyfriends over the summer.

Had the urge to write something. It gets harder the more you go on and the more fantasies you've already turned into captions. I actually need to find a way to get inspiration now, along with the usual time and motivation to write. Hope people like this one, the timing was honestly a complete coincidence. I thought of the premise based on the image, somehow it didn't occur to me until halfway through that it was literally that time of year too.

But oh well, happy accident!
