Getting back into the Harry Potter groove. Igor Karkaroff! The blue sketch is from...September 2003, I believe, and the pencil is from February 2004. Vast improvements.

Wow. I reeeally like these, and your other Harry ones. Your rendering of the body and face is amazing, even in the Sirius and Snape sketch, of their hands and body movements, which usually cause me a whole lotta grief, are spot on. I really admire the way you make the line take form so naturally and softly. I like your blue sketch as well, it reminds me of the work of Paul Kidby, who does illustrations for the Discworld series.

Yes, very vast differences...I think I like both versions though. They are each really great in their own way, the new one looks a lot more reaslistic and believable while the older one reminds me of something more comic strip-ish.

i like your depiction of him. i never really knew how to picture him while i was reading. i think i thought he was fat for some reason.......... o_O oh no that was Fudge. nevermind.
