Watercolour on 250g/m2This grew out of a doodle on the back of a scrap of paper; just a house built around a chimney and not a lot else. I also like painting snow as it lets me leave a lot of paper without any paint on it - speeds things up quite a bit. The owls got added as an afterthought.

I too would have liked to see the piece without the owls; I think that while beautiful, hey draw attention from the house. I love how the house looks like it's actually architecturally sound as well. Props!

Would have loved to see this great architectural painting without the owls. Seems the work is less skilled in the anatomy of the eyes, and much more illustrative than the house. Nice paint work in the eaves and beams.
