Look closely.This is the foot of a begger who comes to rest and take some food from the old man [from Life - Experiences / 4]. He was lying on a bench with one of his legs resting on the other and I found this scean not to be missed.

wowza, it's amazing how the sole of somebody's foot can give away the harshness of their life and the realities they've had to face. a very strong shot with a sombre, but important message. and when i first saw it... hmmmm... it seemed almost animalistic, with the toenails looking like claws. very well captured as well.

I was thinking dirty and worn out, then I thought "Real life"...
What fascinates me is the blue/turquoise background against his dirty feet. An interesting contrast.

One would think that this would be an awesome photomanupilation or that this foot had been equipped with fake-nails and such,
but that this is nothing but real life ... wow ...

Absolutely stunning, my friend... I can't stop staring at my screen when that photo shows up on it. The tones, the contrast, the sharpness... and then; the subject. It's amazing how much can be told from a look at the soles of a man's feet.
To me, it tells the story of a person who has faced life's most cruel obstacles - but still keeps going.
I hope to see this on the frontpage one day

First up, great pic i relay like it.
as for what i thoguht when i first looked at it. to be honest it looked to be to be a half decayed foot and reminded me of scenes from shindlers list where german troops are burning piles of jewish corpses. very graphic and emotional and i think this picture covers some of that sentiment even though it has nothign to do with it. great work again very emotive everythign works jsut great.
