**For god sakes, FULL VIEW!!**

Before I talk about this piece in any detail, I must tell you a smidgen about myself.
I, am a self depricating person, Ergo, I like to doubt myself and my skill at every turn. In doing so, I sometimes don't think I can accomplish levels of detail and awesomeness that others have before me. With that said, I am also a realism guy, and even though I jump at the chance to watch anime and other epic animated cell-shadery's (One Piece ZOMG <333), I rarely if not ever draw in that style, at all. Why talk about my style? Because I extremely contradicted it with this masterpiece of course!! I guess you could say I'm trying to diversify my skills, and I can see I'm getting better at it. ^^

With that said, time to talk about the piece.

Here it is, a bit of fanart for my anthro artist/flash animator friend Ryanide. These are in fact his two characters Lee and Chance, who may look a little familiar.. ^^

Heheheh.. To tell you the truth, it was that animation that reeled me into dA, and I guess you could say Ryanide was actually a pretty big factor for me being here! And it was mildly his fault that I became so darn interested it drawing anthro.. but that's a different story

Well enough about me. Lee and Chance are two of Ryanides characters in Rave battle, who are the only two who he actually animated so far (and by far my favorite). You can learn more about them by this [link] (I can only hope that he may eventually continue working on it, cause University currently acts as a bigass monkey wrench in his animating and music making).

As for what's going on in the picture, let me explain a little. Lee was taking a break to eat ramen in his gym, when Chance runs in clutching some official(maybe even classified O__o) but tattered papers. He looks to have taken a serious beating, and slides on the wood floor to show Lee what he has. Right here is where I'm not very certain but it has something to do with Rave Battle, and is obviously extremely important if Chance had to fight his way to get these papers. It could be about last year's champion, I'm just not sure. Makin up my own part of the story I guess Lee is smiling probably because of the information he has received, and he wants to see what happened to the other guy. That's when Chance says that the guy he fought for these somehow important documents before has followed him. Exhausted and beaten, Chance faints. Lee stares in shock at his unconcious brotheren. "Who could have done this?" he wonders alarmingly. "Chance is a Sheozuni (Sheozu is a mysterious ninjitsu-like martial art practised exclusively by squirrels.. I didn't make that up <3), he couldn't be defeated 'that' easily". Just then, he notices Chance left the sliding door open, and the scorching hot sun was impeding on the moderate A/C of the gym. He gets up and walks to the open door. Suddenly, Lee's keen eyes notice a dark figure of a wolf walking smoothly and silently out of the shadows of the trees. The subtle glint of brass knuckles could be seen on his hands. It was him.

Heheheh.. the rest would be up to Ryanide.. not me, he's the storyteller XD That is if he would accept this part of the story. Man, I love beating the crap out of chracters I love! Just so everyone knows, Chance is no wimp, and fought the best he could while still trying to evade said persuer and get back to Lee, and he obviously got beat up in that time. Who is that guy who beat him up anyways? Is he also a master of martial arts? I don't know myself. Did I just make up a new character for rave battle? heheh.. ..maybe.

I'm allowing for download, only because the amount of detail in the original is amazing.. and I want this cool cat (pun mildly intended XD) to use his mad skills to eventually color it if he wants to ^^ Me no have tablet, otherwise I would've done it myself! lol

(UPDATE: I will color this myself. I recently ordered a 6x8 wacom intuos3 tablet, (FINALLY) and I think I could do this just about as well as Ryanide could. Planning on making it an awesome 1280 x 768 background with sweet colors and wood grain effects.. not to mention epic god rays <3)

This whole drawing was done over 3 and a half days equivelent of work over about 5 days, with a 0.7mm technical pencil on a Strathmore 11"X14" sketchbook.

In case anyone wants to know, that IS a big plump chibi airplane flying in the sky.. I wanted to stick with the style of the world XD

Also, there's a couple odes to Ryanide in this piece too, and they're not hard to spot! lol
