I'm really happy with painting, it turned out really good, I'm trying to slowly incorporate hands into my paintings but they're really hard to paint! I guess I need to keep painting them to improve, I feel like I've been improving a lot recently and all the nice and enouraging comments from you guys also helps me a lot with that, so I thank you all and I hope you guys like this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it!Β Β-edit: I took your critiques from you guys and changed the lighting and shadows a bit and it's really looking a lot better now!!

Woah, the effect of those earing you have on her ear is amazing! The glint, the little chain design, Woah, I just noticed the lines you drew on her ears, now that's an eye for detail!

You did a great job, on both the sphere, character, and postfx.Β I was wondering though is the lighting on the character missing? It feels like the character and the sphere are part of 2 different pictures.

Thank you! the reason is because its not dark enough behind the character and there's not enough blue light hitting the characters face, I tried painting it but it just didn't look right, I actually recently started portrait paintings, about a month ago. I guess with more experience I should become a lot better at lighting, in fact i'll do some light studies ^^ but thank you for your critique, you guys help me see my mistakes a lot quicker!

This picture is awesome! The combination of hair style, acc. and clothes are harmonic and the skin coloration is amazingly pretty.
I hope you forigve if I say so, however, I think that the shading and highlight of her don't match the light source, that ball. In her face should be more highlights regarding that bright light right in front of her. And in the back becoming darker and darker where the light doesn't reach.
It is in total an amazing picture, that was a great job!!! Β Β Β

Thank you for your comment and I'm glad you you like it! you're right about the highlights on a her face, and I noticed that aswell, however, when I tried painting the highlights on her face, it just looked too busy with all the highlights and the shiny accessories around there, in the end I sacrificed a bit of realism so that the face would be much nicer and easier to look at, and regarding the light behind her, I really like adding a backlight to my paintings which is the light at the back of her head, I guess I could've made it a different colour to show its another light source. I'm hoping to correct these little mistakes as a paint more!

I'm glad you like it! and honestly I really do believe anyone can become amazing at painting, you just have to put in time and paint a lot, you should try it, try to paint everyday and I promise, you will improve a lot.
