As part as payment for NeochmiaPhaeton !Sorry for having been a little slow lately, a lot has happened in real life. I'm going to try to do at least 1 thing from my to do list every day from now on, or maybe every 2 days if I don't have the time. 10 more separate things to do for you, and maybe done as soon as 10 days from now I hope c: (all your birds on the pixel base, 3 head shots, 3 detailed bg pictures and 3 simple bg pictures).
I was having a hard time deciding which one I wanted to draw, so I made a numbered list and used the random number generator to decide for me, that really helps ;v;

I do not mind it at all. That was the first place i needed a galyx for myslef and the Ion happened. ;_; I love my sparkle child. Sooon I will have his girl ready to approval. Snow and nox galyx are soo nice! And you did a wonderful job with Ion.

I love galyx a lot too, my favorites are sand and nox c: I personally love blues and greens very much, but all those other sparkly colors are so nice as well haha. This is my galyx boy c: Juno 6822 Sadly only a soil but I think he's great anyways

I know my first galyx was 250$ and Ion was 150$ it hurts to see them go for 20AP a geno (Realy!) or 30-40$. But since I am not a breeder anymore and stay with my flock for fun it is all right. I just want to get rif of the others I do not need anymore. But my tem one mark soil will stay thay are my lettle Babs. Real charas!

I think the dominant ultra rare marked birds, and those who breed them a lot without asking realistic prices for the hatchlings, are those that sadly have hurt the Stryx market quite a lot.. Galyx has almost entirely lost the worth it once had, and Aurora as well. I'm so happy there isn't a dominant Spectrum yet, and I hope it stays that way OR if it did happen, that it would be owned by someone who's responsible and cares about the in-game economy. My precious Spectrum girl that I paid a lot for will soon be uploaded c: Jenny and I hope she won't lose her worth just because someone decides to over-breed their Spectrums...

Then you got a lucky catch. I paid much... tryed to swin with the high lords and then the genoukes happened .... I do not have the money to buy a semi genouke or a "normal" one, so I "quit" stryx and just play with my friends. I still want to get my dream birds but this has time. In my opinion those with connection/admins (not all) and money were greedy and wanted more money so the doms got breed and breed and now a galyx is nothing worth anymore. They try for dom spectrum and I am sure if one happend s/he will get breed... alot. Money rules the world. ;_; Sorry for having such a bad opininon towards the group. To be honest I felt so bad/sad/angry/left out, about stryx I realy wanted to left and go over to Kukuri. My friends have Kukus now too and we having (a lot more) fun even if we just have plain Kukus. I think it is the game play. It is not so much breeding, breeding and breeding it is more about the lore and the activities. You can collect so much stuff! And the rules. YOU have to do the entries for an event yourself or do a collab. No "I have a genouke and you get a slot if you do 10 entries for me". This is more fair in my opinion. The only reason that I did not left is that I stilll have my little story and my stryx became realy dear to me.

It's not all that bad though. Quite some people in this game are money greedy and follow trends for fitting in, yes, but there's also so many of them doing it because they want specific things/designs for their stories. The reason DS has little lore is because it wants to reinforce the making of your own stories, making you completely free to do what you want with your characters, but I also understand that this lack of lore may be hard for some. But yeah, I'll be honest, it's tough to play this game and have lots of fun on your own and I'm glad I have a just as devoted friend as me in the game and am active in some chats about DS.
I understand the paranoia, don't worry, but there's nothing greedy going on in the admin team and you do not gain 'connections' by being in it, I can vow for that as I'm a design admin. It's just a light hearted team of people in it for the fun, and honestly, generally don't even know what they're doing haha! Believe me when I say that almost everyone in the team, and probably including the founder Carni themselves, really don't agree with the over-breeding and money-greedy people as well, but you can't really stop them as they are practically not breaking any rules by doing so.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested in the very rares and the genonukes, and have bought a few, but the idea of selling their slots and breeding them for other than the purpose of getting nice genos and characters for just myself and my friends, really irks me. I just want them for my own fun, and if I sold their slots, I'm probably more interested in art for my birds than money. Not to mention selling their slots too often would mean hurting the DS market/economy even more. I also don't really see the appeal anyways, I don't wanna seem 'above/higher' than others and would be preferred to be seen as an equal, just in the game for the fun it gives me.

Hey, don't worry. You didn't come of as rude to me. When people send me very long replies that I don't know an immediate answer to, I usually leave it for a day or two and check back later because I want to be sure of what I want to say back c:
I must say I guess I'm a little disappointed on the fact you see DS so negatively... And I'm not really sure what to say about that, because I don't think there's much I could say to have you see it from the other perspective, which is fine by me, as people are allowed to have different opinions and likes ;v;
As to answer your questions, the reason why most things in this game are only available by money and not even cheap too, is because the game itself for the founder isn't cheap either. Only the breeding roller itself costs between 500-1500$ already, not to mention what all those other codes and rollers may have costed, and what every new update or adjustment may cost. Next to that, this person has to make a living as well, and since they have to spend so much time on their ARPG that has grown so big, I don't blame them for asking a lot of money every now and then.
And about those designs, they probably wouldn't pass right away (has to do with stuff below minimum coverage or over maximum coverage) but I'm actually not really allowed to give full reviews out of the official approvals journals ;v;
Also about money, it's actually cheaper to first find genos that are almost what you're looking for and then in one of those sales buy all the add-ons they need to become what you want. By doing that you can oftenly save 50 to up to 80% from what it would normally cost. But it also depends what things are sold at what sale, sometimes you can't buy Royal or Nox.
About that, I managed to get my absolute dreambird because of add-ons Orion
I found a Royal corva geno for about 50, then bought all the add ons at the last marking/mutation sale to make him that which ended up costing me roughly 260$. If I had bought him as a semi custom from scratch, I could probably expect to triple that price, or even more.
I love him a lot, he's the most perfect character in a story of mine. I really hope people won't bug me too much about his slots though, because he's special to me and I'd rather keep him mostly only for myself.
I probably can't say or help much about the other aspects of the game like the activities. Most people though, have normal birds without any abilities or much rarity, don't forget about that. I know the people with rare things stand out so much but this is only because they invested so much in the game, and that shouldn't ruin other people their game play. There are still loads of people who play this game casually and only for fun.

I see a lot people go away from stryx but I am not leaving. If I would I had left long time ago. So I thing it is still some fun but not so much as I hoped... I can not express my feelings right and my English is too bad.
For the stryx. What is wrong with them? I would like to have them ready for approval when time comes since they getting AP behind the scenes and I do not want to submit them over and over again. (One thing that bothers me sometimes much too. I get the feeling of putting stryx in a dollmaker. ;_; )
I have a negative feeling for the group but maybe it can be changed when time comes? You for example give me hope and I realy enjoy talking to you. I have lot of real live stress and it is not fun at all so having a bad time here realy hurts. I hope we can sty in contactevn over this paymnet maybe? I am getting my own nox snowcap and mybe we could do some slot trades in future? I am here for the fun but I want to get something to "level up" my birds too. But this is extremly difficult if you just have plain birds to offer.

I just realized.... I have so many Stryx... and also still so many genos to design... I'd think to maybe sell some but then I realize I in fact still love them all.. Hmm
If I combine all my genos that I'm keeping with the number of uploaded birds I have, I have 35 Stryx! What.... 35?! Omg....
Btw, the full body of Zodiac is the next drawing in line that I'll do c: I use random number generator to determine what drawing I'll do next haha.
Genetics and Mutations
Hmm, alright. I will not go very much in depth however since that is reserved for official approvals on the journals and doing those are very time consuming.
For the first one, the nox royal, you should check the tips and stains guides to see the minimum and maximum allowed coverages for your bird and fix them accordingly. Stains (the red I'm assuming) probably needs to be bigger in coverage in some places, as it requires a minimum coverage. Tips should be much smaller in places because it has a very small coverage when recessive. Remember that color modifiers can only modify one marking or the basecoat when recessive, so if tips and crescents are both a Canary color, it would not be allowed. Makes sure one of them really seems to be modded but the other is a natural color.
For the sand royal, everything seems pretty much fine. But when designing in general, it's a good idea to take the guides very literally and check them many times and play it safe by not trying to find loopholes in them. Us design admins have hawk eyes haha, and in official approvals we nitpick anything slightly off.... This is just the rules.
I wouldn't mind staying in contact! It's fun talking with you. I'm easy to approach when someone comes with a topic to discuss or talk about, I only don't do very well with 'Hi, how are you?'s.
I never understood the general dislike from people to common things like soil and, I don't know, tytos? I really love them anyway.
I think majority of my birds might be snow though haha. But my most favorite basecoat would actually be sand, but for some reason this seems to be rare?
Even though I hase SO MANY Stryx and seem to still be getting more, I don't think I could ever sell or trade any of them away. They all have their little stories and personalities.

I do not mind the lack of lore. I developed my own little world and story. You can read a bit of it on Marjes and Ions Imports. The others will get their parts soon. I do not like the breeding orientated system of stryx. It is all about genoukes and breeding and money. What is about Activities? I hope the new items will bring a change to the system. I am not fond of the arena either. If you have a bird with plasmabreath you win so why spending money on the other breath options?? And then why have a breather at all... ? just to throw 100$ in the air? No thanks. Why cant I get the breath stones with art or poins? Even if members sell them they go for money... I wish there would be more options for art and for those that are not as skilled like myself.
If this would be true carni would accept some other payments then money too. I tryed hard when the few art options popped up but usually she picks the same people every time so I gave up. I tryed with my old main Acc with art like this: A Pale Night l Landrova l Moonwalker This Acc here is from a friend since we own our stryx thogether and it is against the rules to put two non connected Accs thoghter. The only other option to get dream stryx it spending a lot of money. Here are my dream stryx Dream Stryx (Just a question would both pass approval with the current design? ) I gave up on stryx please do not blame me. And I agree not all adims are like this but it makes me sad how some things go and in most cases admins are involved. It is just my opinon I cant get rid of at the moment. I would be happy if stryx would be more userfriendly. Like more options for people without money and picasso skills.
Again sorry for my rather bad view of the group at the moment.
