Cross in the Baroque style( modeled on the Two-Sided Crucifix Pendant , late 16th century

11,5 cm x 5,5 cm
Silver 925, oxidized, pearls.
The figure of Christ has been carved on a piece of molten silver. Some pieces have been soldered.

it looks more iron or tarnished bronze than silver
but its really impressive

I agree, it makes the impression non-silver material - it is stylized to old and in addition lighting used during the shooting perhaps increases this effect.

This cross was modeled on another baroque cross, which found in a museum (unfortunately I do not remember in which ). But it was made of gold and ornaments were made in niello. I do so once, I hope...
