After they entered the ring, the referee then called Hikari and Kyo to the center. As she explained the rules, Hikari gave Kyo a mean look to intimidate him. Kyo wasn't phased. He kept his cool throughout the briefing.

"Touch gloves," said the referee. The boxers tapped their gloves while Hikari leaned forward.

"I'll have you know that I'm the star of my gym. I'm the prodigy. You will know that soon," she said.

"Alright," said Kyo bluntly. Hikari was almost taken aback by his response.

"Hmh," They returned to their corners.

Over at the red corner, Hikari was calm and collective. Her gloves rest on the second ropes, looking at Kyo, wondering he doesn’t stuck out too much in school. Judging by his appearance, this is going to be easy for her.

“That boy doesn’t look much of a threat to you,” said her brother, Tai, who stood outside of the ring. He acted as her assistant and coach.

“There’s nothing interesting coming from him,” said Hikari.

“I am convinced that you will knock him out in the first round,” Tai smirked. Hikari giggled.

In his blue corner, Kyo was shaking. Bertrand, acting as his corner assistant and coach, would notice that. He peeked his head under the ring ropes.

“Don’t you worry. This isn’t going to be hard for you,” he said.

“But Bert-nii…, I don’t want to disappoint you when I lose,” said Kyo, looking at him.

“I won’t be disappointed in you. You showed great progress when training. You’ll impress everyone here. That girl will be taken aback by it, that you will dominate her,” said Bertrand. Kyo nodded slowly “Just give her hell,”
