Bio:
This musclebound Deadman isn't from Japan at all, but had the misfortune to be in Tokyo on the day of the Red Hole. He was actually deadly close to the epicenter and was the only survivor left in that area, but at the cost of his entire memory. (Most likely, this stems from his infection with his Branch of Sin and its activation.) In the turmoil following the great earthquake, he was put in prison (because he was a foreigner with no memory of where he was from or why he was in Japan at all, he was suspected of being a terrorist that had somehow caused it), where he learned the Japanese language from the inmates, who named him "Takashi". He was later transferred to Deadman Wonderland about the same time as Senji Kiyomasa. He was discovered as a Deadman when he was attacked and injured by other prisoners, and ended up meeting Senji at the gym in G Block. The two became friends and workout partners, even though they were forced to fight one another on several occasions, but he was eventually pulled out of Carnival Corpse for experimentation because of the unique properties of his Branch of Sin and disappeared. It is assumed that he died during these experiments. He wears a single lock of his hair in a short braid behind his ear to remember his wife/girlfriend/fiance—that is the only memory he has.
Branch of Sin:
Takashi's Branch of Sin, "Blood Armor" (or "Harpy Hand", as Senji thought sounded better) is of a similar sort to Karako's "Fists of Blood", with a few intriguing differences. Like Karako, his blood forms a nearly impenetrable barrier to protect his body from injury; unlike hers, though, it only activates when he is injured. When his body sustains damage (more than just a papercut or something) in any area, his blood solidifies on the surface to protect it from harm, but can also draw adult stem cells from his bone marrow to heal tissue or organs that are critically damaged. This grants him even more accelerated healing than most Deadmen, but also impenetrable "skin" and even slight attack modifications such as the claws shown here. During experiments, Promoter Tamaki surmised that the reason he lost his memory is because his brain was severely damaged during the Red Hole, and was healed by the Branch of Sin without retaining the actual information of his memories.
