yay for LARGE WOMEN >_>; or something..her head is too small for the rest of her body. and i realize that her legs are pretty muscle-y. I DON'T CARE. there is no background either. I DON'T CARE. i'm tierd of hearing comments such as "put a background" or "this is boring" -- since when did art have rules or needed to look better? whatever happened to drawing just for fun? i understand constructive critisism, but for the love of god people, stop nit picking and analyzing the hell out of art..
this was all open canvas, with the blue tint in painter.

The head is actually the right size. The width of human shoulders is two heads with a gap into the middle, so it's about right! And there's nothing wrong with the legs, good job I'd say!

looks fine to me sis, the proportions for the head seem right, and dont worry about the bg especially when the character seems to be the main focus. the blue highlights from the right really do the trick

"Stop nitpicking and analyze art" Our class had a discussion about that which is more important disccusing and taking apart of art or discovering the beauty of art. I think some people are too preoccupied with that notion maybe because they want their art to be realized in the same way as everyone elses. I think there is some validity in that argument- but i think people need to be able to just let the picture impress on them. It was the color and the shading that drew me to this picture that made me say in my mind "wow" And even with the minor imperfections of anatomy and style, this piece still makes me say "wow"

She is muscular, but it kinda makes sense with how many bad guys she fights and how much she runs around!

I really like this version of Garnet better than the childish version portrayed in the game. Yours seems more realistic. Two thumbs up!

oooh the coloring looks so yummy~ i really like the blue effect too... i think it'd look kinda neat with a black/dark BG.. but thats just personal preferance

Honstly, I love it! The body looks great and the style is beautiful! Since when did art need a background anyways, lol... Background isn't needed, it's art, you do it because you can, because you want to! Very cool though, Dagger is one of the few FF Girls I like, she's damned kick ass! Good job!

she's not large, she's (OMFGNOWAY) normal - and gourgeously so. (is gorgeously even a word? oh well, it works.) i am so happy to see that you don't draw anorexic-looking, sickly-thin women like so many artists do (myself included, sadly). it is a good - not to mention healthy - change from what society is starting to recognize as the standards for beauty. i love seeing all varieties of body types in artwork - and in real life, as well. beauty comes in so many different shapes and forms, and we should all learn to appreciate them.
