You are getting better, Bruce. Each year, your newly uploaded firework shot is my favorite. This year is no exception.

Nice one, Bruce.
I think you could very well call this a perfect shot if you wanted to, because in all honesty, it is (to me, anyways). I had my digital PowerShot with me at this year's 4th of July fireworks, and I got ONE shot that I really liked.

Yeah, and when we do, it's hardly dark enough for it to be worth it.
(and if it is, it's just too darn cold!)

This is an excellent shot! The color and clarity are both great! I've always had trouble getting the vibrant colors in fireworks to remain as vibrant in my shot...and I still haven't figured out the key. Any suggestions?

I had my ISO set @ 800. This way the shot is quick and doesn't get overexposed. But it's a compromise solution. The high ISO also adds a lot of grain. Luckily it didn't show that bad in these shots (I know you didn't see the others, so you'll have to take my word for it). But then again, I was hand holding my camera. If I had a decent tripod (I can't seem to find the barely functional one I had), I would have probably tried the ISO @ 400, but I won't know what difference that will make until next year...hopefully.
Thanks!
