A very beautiful landscape, the water is like a mirror....

Did you have to take the eight photographs quite quickly?

Yes, in rather rapid succession. Just not so quick to make for bad shots. That doesn't enhance the effect at all.

This... as I might have mentioned earlier, is excellent.
I like the trees off in the distance towards the left as well as the subtle ripples in the water from the calm autumn winds and the big, puffy cloud above the trees on the right.
Awesome. I can't wait to get out an take a panorama and play with stitching.

I'm trying to get my parents to help me out with getting a new camera sooner than later. My dad really wants to. He wants to see what else I'm capable of. But neither of us have the money to get one. My mum likes my photos too, but she's worried my brother and sister would throw a fit if they bought me something that expensive.

I understand you wanting to. Believe me, I've started looking at new cameras myself, and I know there's no way I can afford one now. But just make sure that if you do get one, get what you want. If you have to settle for less or wait a little longer, then wait a little longer. You won't regret it. You at least still have one to work with until then.

just awesome! Its 5:30 am here in the CT. I am walking down the street to "my" lake. Q: do you use software to stich these or by eye? My Canon G3 has a panorama option but I have not messed with it enough to master it. If I had to figure this out I would say- tripod, steady hand and many shots!

Thanks! And my Canon has that feature too, but I've never used it. I didn't use a tripod either, even though I own one. Just a steady hand and keeping the camera as level as possible. The rest is photoshop, and that's the easy part. At least if the originals are right. I've had much tougher stitches before, that's for sure.

Well I tried this once and had very little luck. Will have to try again.

You should. You'll get better with each try.
