Description New image in a similar vein as the Sunday one with the layers staggered. Hubby gave me advice on the shadows which very much frustrated me since I am hopeless at these things. I am very much indebted to him.

Those shadows indeed look like they were complicated to get right! It turned out wonderfully.

In a way a lot of your art reminds me of jewelry. This would make an awesome pendant.

It frustrated me since I just could not "get" what my husband was trying hard to explain to me about angles, reflection & refraction & all that math stuff. Then I had to work out how to achieve the look in the program. I learnt a lot along the way I think.

Yes, it would make a great pendant or brooch even. With your jewellery making skills, it should be doable.

aye, or something similar. I'll have to challenge myself.

I have trouble with lighting too, while drawing. I can never remember where the light source is supposed to be, nor how that translates to shadows.

Helen, the original name was Tiger Tuesday. I was a bit grumpy & worried about PDN crashing on me again so I was a bit hesitant after the Sunday image. After completing it I felt so much better & decided to rename it to something more gentle.

Very nice. I like the BG texture, the overall shape and the colors blend well. Excellent looking jewel. You've captured the feel of the "tiger eye" jewel. Bravo

Thank you s much for your comment. BG tiles are the jewel radial blur deluxe (0 for steps & not sure what the amount of blur was) & cut out . I used the jewel again & radial blur & then zoom blur & colour flip, for the reddish background.

I guess that why many of us post up WIPs on Fans. Hubby doesn't usually offer advice or assistance & gives minimal comments or advice when asked directly. He believes the art stuff is my personal journey & he doesn't want to interfere. I was surprised he spent so much time with me on this one.
