A bit over a second, f/9, 28 x 1,6 ≈ 45 mm focal length. But the camera data is visible to me, isn't it visible to you?

Thank you Roberta.

I almost never make pictures of homeless people... but this scene and the way this woman held on to her few things and the bench symbolized so much for me...

... and I looked for a long time at her until I decided that I wanted to take this shot...

It's a hard decision whether you're invading someone's privacy to create art that makes a strong statement. It takes a lot of courage.

The reason why I almost always stop myself from taking photos of homeless people is because they have no other choice than to be in public... they have no other shelter than what the streets offer. So I am most definitely intruding on someone who should be "sheltered" by us.
But this scene spoke volumes to me, and since we cannot see her face, yet see her situation (also emotionally), I made the exception and took the shot. In the hope that it would give others pause as it did me.

I think you handled it with respect and dignity, and I also hope it makes people pause and think, and not so easily dismiss others in challenging situations...
