It always seems that whenever i put the pencil to paper, i want to just start drawing this guy. i tell myself to expand my artistic self and draw something else. well, i finally caved in and did some original fan art. The gunblade (yes, thats what that thing is on the side) was a bit risky to draw at that angle but i've never seen it done before so i thought i'd be the first. It's supposed to be aimed straight at you, hence, the barrel in full view and the blade rather trim. I think it's unique at best which is something i'm not very good at. Done in staedtler technical pencil. i did a bunch of sketches over the past few days and this one is the first to get done. In the upcoming lineup, it's looking like tekken fan art, kingdom hearts fan art, and a general figure study of pose and movement. keep checking the scraps as i'm sure thats where they will end up before i finalize them. I'm thinking a new avatar is in order and this pic could be it. We'll see...
