i let my boyfriend take this photo, and hes not very good with cameras, hes got huge meat paws.  im most likely going to be wearing this again this weekend, so im anticipating more photos.  sorry for the late reply, i have had a huge flood of notifications lately.

i hand designed all the fixtures that are on the goggles, i never got a good photo of them, so ill have to do it when i get home some time!

my boyfriend was the one taking the photos, and tbh he cant take a good photo if his life depended on it, he has trouble with my cameras "half press- focus - full press - photo take" mechanic, every photo he takes is slightly blurry  

im planning on shooting with this costume some time after january, possibly with another Steampunk DC lady <3

Some times you just have to take what you get when loved ones are involved Does your camera have any manual overrides? Maybe you could get a tripod and go with a wide depth of field so every thing with in a certain range would be in focus. He could still snap the photo, especially if you had one of those remotes or "cable release" things as we used to call them. It's not necessary of course but it would reduce his chance of shaking the tripod at the last moment.

He just needs more time behind a camera, i sadly have just a cheap digi cam right now, i need to upgrade, but that sadly costs money i dont have currently.  this thing sucks batteries dry in a matter of hours and has been peed on twice by our cat [i dont even know how it still works, also our cat is the spawn of satan]

I love cats but I have one that will pee on an open tool box if I turn my back for too long. I have an Xbox I'm afraid to turn on because of him. But about the camera, no worries, make due with what you have. People could spend a fortune on equipment and still take crappy photos but there are people making wonderful art with home made 'pin hole' cameras. It's overcoming limitations that's important, not having a big bank account.... though, I wouldn't mind having a fat wallet.
