Thanks It is from the late 1800s or early 1900s and it doesn't look quite as good close up but it does get re-coated with varnishquite regularly...I think. It's in a sheltered spot so it doesn't get the worst of the weather.

lol...no monks there anymore i'm afraid. No the local council keep the place looking nice to bring in the tourists. There are volunteers aswell ofcourse, trying to secure their place in heaven
