Probably not my place to speak but since its technically my commission I uh.. personally don't view it as such - Crystal isn't really a dark figure whom is negative buut haha ^^ i'll just leave

I meant no offense if any was taken. Ying and yang are the eb and flow of balance and equality so definitely did not view her as a “dark” figure. <3 she is stunning

Oh! No offense taken, not sure why there would be any! Though I guess in a sense it is like that but it has a taste of irony - Crystal could be the dark side of the Yin and Yang concept but, not with the lion depicted here though it was an AMAZING stylistic choice by the artist, she's more of the light side while another lioness whom is completely white is the dark side

Oh, also the reason why I said that was because most times Yin is portrayed as dark, brooding, kind of a figure that's pretty much a deity for all things negative and unhappy that's for sure while Yang is more open, brighter, filled with the positivities of life and whatnot - so definitively Crystal is more of a Yang whereas Mena - the other lioness who has a whole backstory of being a deity of death and such while Crystal is actually more of a deity of life - is more of a Yin
