Description He's like an ocean,
Big. Beautiful.

Dangerous.

He is the gentle wave, the clearest water, the unsearchable depths.
He is the raging tide, the crashing flood, the unmatched power.
He is the constant motion, the salt in my hair, the rippled shining surface.
He is untapped anger, roaring storms, sweeping force.

He is a terror and a marvel I cannot describe,
A careful balance between comfort and wonder and paralyzing fear.

I watch him from the shore as he swells and falls,
And he stays contained by the land and cannot reach me.

"the unsearchable depths" as if he makes every effort to be unsearchable...powerful thought, wonderful writing

Gorgeous. You evoke the sea - and the person for whom the sea stands - powerfully. I like how a theme of danger flows through the entire piece, from the very word "dangerous" to your vivid descriptions of the water in a tumult and the final line.
