Yes, indeed. The grid is made with a street sign. I was attracted to its cold yet beautiful metallic texture.

Before leaving Chicago, I've been trying to capture its spirit - a cold city of metal, a simple grid oriented towards efficiency, and yet doted with multiple and indeed confusing layers.
