Description This is a commission for

The assignment was to do a McGinnis-style pulp fiction/crime paperback cover starring his wife Pam.

It was a fun challenge trying to imitate the style.

Without a doubt one of the coolest pics I've seen on devArt for a while - love it!! You've pulled off the pulp look so well this could easily fit in with the latest covers being created for the Hard Case Crime series. What a fantastic idea for a commission, I hope the client was happy!!

I gotta admit I basically took the overall color palette off one of his covers. I can't even fathom thinking up the colors that he does. Glad you liked it!

Dont know of anyone making prints, and you'd probably have to mortgage your house for an original - I've had to settle for art books of his work and a poster book of his bond stuff I found at some second hand shop. Love those old pulp covers and McGinnis in particular!!
