Manchester Airport. 12am, not a person in sight.I was awestruck by the architecture. Once again I would have loved to have spent more time there (with a tripod!).
I had had no sleep in 48 hours... so tired, which I think must have made this look cooler
The reason I'm so happy with this shot is because I was very handicapped with hardware (kinda like in fishing, when you win catching the heaviest fish with the most fragile, lightest rod). My camera is a compact... *not* made for this sorta cool stuff, and I had no tripod.... after being shakey from no sleep!
Considering all that, I think it turned out quite well

this is a really nice shot. you clearly have a good eye for something that most people would just walk past without taking any notice of.

haha yeah that sucks no tripod. i was thinking that you could have used a tripod when i was looking it over. still a really cool shot :]

Yeah- a tripod would have made this perfect. It was difficult because it was a nasty camera for low light conditions, and I was all shakey
Airports are really cool... there's something rather transitional about them. Strange word to describe it but I think it works!

very nice contrast, i think that it was a bonus for you that there was no people there because i think that it would have dragged attention away from the architecture. Very visually pleasing, and very nice lighting.

Why thankyou. The perspective could not be done any other way. As I was walking down the corridor it was screaming "Pleeeeease take a photo of me!". It was just another one of those moments that are very special and don't come too often

That shot was taken at a *really* bizarre hour of the morning, with absolutely no one around. I would have loved to see it at night with people around too. Definately go and check it out

haha, yeah that was pretty much my reaction when I was walking through! The cool bit was because no one was around I was able to walk up and down the escalator things taking photos, looking like a moron with no one around at that time in the morning
If you'd like it as a wallpaper I can easily do a scraps submission, although i'm not all that confident of the photo's quality.
