The newer one is more dynamic and energetic, but is also very flat compared to the old one.Β

The first one is really nice, but the shapes/energy in the newer one is beautiful. It's just way more satisfying to stare at.. Seeing both of them next to each other is like a lesson. Thanks for sharing.

I like both. I prefer "yellow one" a little bit more, because I feel even a texture of pipe (so metalic). And I like space above. Β The "blue one" however is more crazy and lively. So I see good things here and here. ;]

The blue image is much more dynamic and tasty to the eye. There's a stiffness to the warm image that makes my eye wander away from it, even though I love warm colors.

Sure! In this case it's a scanned pencil drawing. Colored with PS and a medium wacom tablet. No big deal, really.
