I've talked about this before I think. Basically if I were to do a reboot of the Elm Street movies, I'd go for the disturbing, the surreal, the psychological, and the haunting. None of that slasher ridiculousness. Mainly, I would make his nature as the fabled Springwood Slasher completely ambiguous. Was he actually the real deal in his life and is now back for more blood or was he just an innocent weirdo who was lynched by a gated community that was just waiting for an opportunity to get rid of him for whatever reason. We the audience would never actually know. Events and the environments themselves would indicate both ways. And that's just one thing I would do among many others. XDD
