Description Ullr, God of the Hunt.

He's a Nordic shapeshifter. Shapeshifters don't really exist anymore- as their species kind of went extinct thousands of years ago. (His tattoos are as accurate as I can get them to be in Old Norse.)

Ullr's favourite form is that of a grizzly bear- who is commonly called Bjǫrn by those who worship him. Thousands of years ago- Ullr met Selene the Moon Goddess. They fell in love. During this time- she'd gift the people who worship him with her gift... but they found themselves turning into werebears instead of werewolves.

These people still exist today, even though Ullr and Selene were separated a long time ago. They have been searching for each other ever since. These werebear tribes aren't as big as the werewolf ones- and are entirely endemic to upper-Canada/Alaska.

The whole point of the third book is their reunion- unbeknownst to Selene as she is under the amnesic effects of her sister's dying curse. His people are called the Skræling. Their Nordic blood and werebear traits are so strong that they are naturally born differently from average humans.

Most males average at 7 feet tall- with women tending to be smaller. Though, during the autumn and early winter- females will put on considerable weight for their hibernation. Ullr being the god they worship- while also having extreme respect for Selene- has them focused on hunting their own food and welcoming their inner bear.
All very important world building for my book series. If you haven't noticed- I also wanted to try working on making more masculine features for the men I draw. I want their age to be apparent while still being handsome devils.

Selene has a lot to do with Ullr.
