how long will he remain buoyant in the twit sand for before consequences happen? is he aware of what he's in? from what i know the force of buoyancy is eqaul to the density of the liquid multiplied by the volume that the object displaces and the gravity at that location. is buoyancy calculated in the same way in twit sand?

Twitsand works in a stupid way. It is not worth thinking about that hard. The lizard is being consumed because it is foolish, and likely has no idea what it has stepped in. If the lizard were aware of the twitsand, that might indicate it was smart enough that the twitsand would not work. But I assure you it will work.
