Can you see how the gradient of pink on thr original kirby is going from pink to a dark pink? You need to replace each shade with a new shade of the new coloyur

That is something different. But your best bet is to make one in a normal way and rotate the image.

BoltBlades12 [2013-10-15 22:05:26 +0000 UTC]

Also, can you tell me how to get the sword hat on? I'm kinda confused because it'll be a little more of a challenge to get it on.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BioMetalNeo In reply to BoltBlades12 [2013-10-16 08:57:11 +0000 UTC]

Well you are just gonna have to go through that challenge to get the good results

I mean, I want him to have a sword hat because I want to have a Christmas version of him.

Superkirbyfan2 [2013-06-28 14:15:31 +0000 UTC]

Also how do you actually put on the hat onto the sprite without the hat deleting a part of the sprite? Or do you have to try and make the thing transparent?

HiddenDemon909 [2013-03-27 17:01:17 +0000 UTC]

Cool!

Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-23 01:11:23 +0000 UTC]

And one last question dude how do you combine or put in a hat with the new base sprite or the weapon to using Paint?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BioMetalNeo In reply to Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-23 01:17:21 +0000 UTC]

Some placing and editing

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Superkirbyfan2 In reply to BioMetalNeo [2013-02-23 03:17:54 +0000 UTC]

Because when I tried to combine headphones with my sprite then the headphones would also have a white background around it to, how come the hat still has a white background on it even if I tried to get the white background off?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BioMetalNeo In reply to Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-23 14:03:10 +0000 UTC]

I really can't help properly unless I can see your screen. I am not too good with verbal

Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-22 17:49:25 +0000 UTC]

I've got a question or 3 about when it said features like hats and others.
Question 1: say that when your making your sprite and you find this sprite sheet that has something like cool headphones or a cool hat that the base sheet doesn't have and you want to put that with your character then how would you do it or in another way how would you beable to add the features in without messing the base sprite up?
Question 2: if you wanted to make the design of sprite first before making the sprite sheet for it would you crop the standing part of the base sprte and then starting designing it or would there be another way?
Question 3: I'm kinda confused on step 1 like when you say hats or features or weapons like would you put them on a base sprite thing but when I tried that the things I wanted to put onto the sprite would go behind it because there would be white space around it and I would try to make it using paint and Idk how to et rid of the white space on paint.

BioMetalNeo In reply to Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-22 19:13:28 +0000 UTC]

I am a bit overwhelmed here. Take it 1 at a time please

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Superkirbyfan2 In reply to BioMetalNeo [2013-02-22 19:19:11 +0000 UTC]

Ok so what I have most trouble on when making a sprite is how to add other things onto the sprite like hats and weapons onto the sprite but when I try to do that it would be behind the sprite cause of white space around the sprite so how can I take the white space off of the sprite And how do you put the features onto base sprite sheets on Paint or do you do that on a different application?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BioMetalNeo In reply to Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-22 19:30:26 +0000 UTC]

Okay. First you need to engage a feature called transparent selection and put your secondary colour the same colour that you don't want to carry. As for the hat and stuff, you really need to be able o put it on a characters so it looks "Natural" it is hard to explain with words

Superkirbyfan2 In reply to BioMetalNeo [2013-02-22 19:42:46 +0000 UTC]

Also would this be in paint.net or just Paint?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BioMetalNeo In reply to Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-22 19:44:49 +0000 UTC]

Normal Paint

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Superkirbyfan2 In reply to BioMetalNeo [2013-02-22 19:38:47 +0000 UTC]

Ok and if you wanted to put a hat that is from another sprite sheet and you wanted putted it onto the sprite then how would you do it on pain ( I would mean the normal pain and not Paint. net).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BioMetalNeo In reply to Superkirbyfan2 [2013-02-22 19:43:37 +0000 UTC]

That feature is on normal Paint. You have to get it to work on the character. You have to find a hat with the right pose to fit the right character pose
