I bought a Sigma 10-20 mm lens this week.I tried it out on this willing subject in Bellwood, IL
This is an HDRI of 12 exposures generated from a single RAW file. All HDR and tonemapping work was done in Photomatix. Some further light and shadow, curves, levels and channel mixer work was done in Photoshop CS3.

It's really quite amazing how you transformed a seemingly ordinary moment into a beautiful, vivid dream.

I think it's just a matter of taste. For the most part, if you grab the center of the line and pull down it'll make the picture dark. If you pull up, it will lighten it. The eyedroppers are to balance the colors. Select the black eyedropper and click on the darkest part of the picture. Then click the white eyedropper and click on the lightest part of the image. Then select the grey eyedropper and click on a part of the image that should be grey in color. That's it for the most part.
