Personally I like them contrasty, I think you've done a great job of making it feel like daylight while keeping that dramatic contrast.
I hope to be able to get that kind of value skill.

I'm sure you'll get there. It didn't come easy to me neither and i still struggle with it. As for how the contrast is. I don't think that it's bad. It's just not where i want it to be. But that doesn't mean it's not good. I just tend to focus more on what i think could be improved.

oh thanks man, I'm really glad it came across that i'm working on these things. Of course i'm still not happy here...I feel i should have maybe gotten less dark...and have the balls to not push the contrast so much. It could have been more subtle and easier on the eyes... But if you could see as much, that tells me i'm on the right track... Thanks.

it's a sketch in that i didn't spend 4 days rendering it. But yes it could stand on it's own. I call them sketches but maybe i should call them experiments... I don't know haha. But i'm really glad you like them.
