I see a problem in it, it's for me like a piece of red rag for a bull. I don't know why, but even if I talk with people on MSN, I tell them to write properly. I am just a grammar nazi and if I see mistakes, I get angry.

I don't mind when people use it when they're on a phone actually texting, because, you know, it's really hard to text on a such a small keyboard, but yeah, when people use it on a computer it's just an excuse to be lazy. (whats even more annoying is when people say things like "OMG" and "TTFN" in an ordinary face to face conversation)

Oh, yes, writing on phones or communicators with shortcuts and other non-grammar and no-good-spellings is obvious, even I do it, but not in a place where everyone sees what I write. I am a pedant if it comes about proper grammar (if I am aware of all my mistakes, of course) and spelling and when I see people abusing rules and, as you mentioned, using OMG, IDK, IRL or other crap, I want to fucking smash them in their faces.

I don't give a shit how people write short messages or communicator texts. They should write properly in the Internet, where everyone sees it. I am unable to think "well, they are wise people" if they have no slightest idea how to write...
