Description an old 50's split-window.
im not a bug expert, so perhaps any resident bug pros can enlighten me as to the model. i do recall him saying that this was the rarest model of split-window beetle produced, it had the smallest production run.
all restored and original - even had signal lights that popped out from the side of the door to flash, lol.

anyways, posting this because how 'vintage' it turned out.
cheers,
-gabriel

You can tell this bug is quite old from the "Wolfsberg" emplem it has on the front instead of the VW. Nice.

man one of the few things I know about. Well if its a Euro model and stock it would have to be a 51 to 53. Only years the factory offered the Semaphores, rear split window and wolfsburg hood all in one, then it would also have to have the 30 bhp motor, not really a car for doing crazy donuts in the parking lot now is it.

Man I'm such a dork for having that information in my head, I'm such a dork having a VW tattoo!

Great Picture by the way.

Danny

Then again as stated, it could be none stock then it makes it a 51 to 55. Hmmm?

Besides being a 50's beetle, and being in great condition, what makes this bug so special is that it has a Wolfsburg hood on it, im sure it has the Wolfsburd Decklid as well. All the early bugs had the, but over the years they were ruined, stolen, sold and so on. So to have all this on one beetle is great. Looks like a beauty, makes me miss my beetle.

Very vintage. Difficult to tell the model, but my guess is, if it is as you say a 50s bug and a split window, then its probably a 1200cc. The turn signals on these werecalled semaphores

A split window is one of the best, damn hard to parellel park tho

Great Picture. I know nothing about beetles, except that they're cool. The picture does have a vintage look, very appropriate. I like it a lot.
