Happy Halloween!I have a dress-up-my-OCs picture still in the works, but this was supposed to be my 'simple' Halloween peice. I like the colors in this one, but a few other things I was going for didn't quite come out right...
One of the things I work on with this couple is the idea that they are equals; Nathan is not superior because he's a vampire or because he's a man. So I took away a lot of the significant height difference here, and I wanted them to look delighted in each other, but Nathan still looks a little threatening to me. :/
Also I know I left his glasses off - I did that on purpose.

Pffff, they look adorable. This is such a nice picture of them. I love how you've taken the hackneyed male-vampire-female-human thing and turned into a real partnership.

Thanks! Ah, glad it's showing, then. I had Nathan for a while but my decision to make Kara was so spontaneous; I was sitting in AP US History and suddenly I thought "whoa what if Nathan had a girlfriend and whoa what if she became his wife and whoa what if she was his human wife?!" and just like that I came up with her name and habits and few other things, haha. Best spontaneous decision I've made so far with this kind of thing, I think.
And as I think I had Kara say once, "I didn't fall in love with a vampire; I fell in love with a man who happened to be a vampire." Because seriously, she was totally into him before that whole mess was revealed. XD They compliment each other as they are, but they'd still compliment each other well if Nathan was a human or Kara was a nonhuman.
