Impressive use of negative space, along with the break of the space. This should be in some kind of gallery.

Oh, sorry about that! Negative space is the area of a painting or photo or even sculpture that isn't the main focus. In this photo and your other, it is the sky. Even though it isn't the focus, it is VERY important.
I've made an imaged that is based off of this photo, the link is below. The gray is the positive space, or the focus, and the white is the negative space. The negative space, along with the positive, is used to 'guide' the eye. This is why your lamp post is so important, it guides the eye across the vastness of the negative space.

I don't like this tutorial in that it dosen't mention the idea of guiding someone's eye, but it does go over types of negative spaces, mostly shadows.

This is the showing of positive and negative space in your image. Grey is positive, and white is negative space.

I hope you aren't insulted by nudes in art, but this is a painting by Matisse that shows off movement and negative space well.
[link]
This image is a smaller version of the above, showing off the movement and space. The positive space is untouched, the negative space is light red, and the movement of the eye, following the objects, is in red. See how he captures your eye and then the eye is trapped in the circular space.

I'm glad to help!
It all comes down to eventually having an 'eye' for this sort of thing, and I'd bet that you already 'know' what to look for, and I'm just adding names to what you already know! Hopefully at least ^^ Just try to see if you can use what I showed you, and it may help composition and such. Cause you've already got the color going for you ^^
