WHAT THE BUTT?! TRADITIONAL ART?!?!?111!
OLD traditional art. Even though I used Photoshop to touch up the colors, it's still someone massacred in it's entirety.On another note: Don't bug me about why Rouge, Eggman or whomever you fancy, isn't on here. Of the short time I gave myself, I just didn't have the time or the space.
This was from last year actually. It was a 2-day rush job that I was lucky enough to place in for the State Fair.
I remember the process all too well...I had to RE-outline the damn thing after the painting part because the pigment dried on the original outline.
Alas old habits seem to die hard with lack of a good bg.
.Original completion date: June 20, 2006
Materials used: pencil, water color paper, Prismacolor watercolor pencils, water, brush, pen and inkwell, and white ink.
Time taken: 2 days...minus about a 30 minutes of snack time overall; sketch to finish.

Lies! This is not crap! In fact, it kicks ass, and you're better at backgrounds than I am, at least.
Just one downside--everyone looks shiny. Really, really, really shiny, as if they've been polished. I think you should tone it down, but other than that, it's great.

Colored pencils, that also act as water color paint... 
The coloring is very crisp, (especially with Tails' banana-yellow coat) but I can still pick out the subtle grainyness that pencils tend to leave. This isn't a bad thing, of course; I am only saying I can see the pencil and the water color represented here equally!
The dotted white streaks for shine does pick up the slack that the pencils leave behind. I also like the way you have individualized the characters by their expression: fangy excitement for the fiesty Knuckles; grim apprehension for shady Shadow; hushed astonishment for the fragile Amy; bright-eyed wonder for the mirthful Cream and Cheese; good ol' shock for the naive Tails; and general caution for the other characters tha have yet to be fleshed out neatly yet.
The form of these characters is perfectly detailed. Do you think I could draw one of your characters one time? I just finished my latest story, and my next project will be some kind of drawing. Well done

wow traditional art its great. hehe and i really love the way you drew them all. hehe Sonic and Knux look pretty cool like that. yeah their spines and their expressions are great. hehe and Amy and Cream look very adorable like that. hehe nice job on Cheese too. yeah Tails looks pretty cool too. his tails are very well done. Shadow looks great too, you should draw him a lil bigger next time. hehe i like the way you drew Blaze too. shes a cute kitty. awesome job on Jet. i like his beak and his expression. hehe and i like the way you colored everything. the style is pretty nice. hehe you are really good at traditional art. great job sweet.
