I wake up the same way, with red puffy eyes and the occasional bruises. No one
cares about them, good, no one sees the bruises I hide under my baggy clothes
and no one cares.

My dad is passed out on the couch with an empty bottle of beer in his hand like
always, I'm not surprised anymore. I try to numb myself to the pain but each
time I do it comes back stronger than before.

At school no one seems to notice I'm around and I don't want them too. I could
be standing next to a piece of trash they would notice the trash first. As I put
my things into my locker I carefully look around for Gilbert and the crew so I
can at least prep myself for their beatings, but I don't, all I see is Alfred
walking into class with that smug ass smile on his face that I sadly love on
him. He doesn't know the pain he caused me yesterday by not driving me
home......

Alfred's POV

She looks like a zombie, what the fuck happened to her face? Did she get robbed
or something last night? There isn't anything valuable to take from her. Though
she looks so sad...... Maybe I should talk to her, no, everyone would think that
we're friends and I'm not cool anymore, she doesn't know I have a reputation to
uphold.....

Reader's POV

Gym class. I hate it. Everyone picks me last all the time because no one wants
me on the team, I don't want to join either but I don't want to go summer school
for a silly reason like that.

Today's sport is, my favorite, dodgeball. I saw all the girls in one corner of
the gym snickering and whispering to each other with a few glances at me.

'They're going to do something to me.' I said to myself.

The gym teacher blew the whistle for us to go on our teams. As soon as the
teacher blew the whistle for us to go and get the balls, the other teams got it
before us and threw them. All of the balls hit everyone else but me, as they
went to sit down, the other team looked at me.

They bombarded me with the balls and I was powerless to defend myself. They were
hitting me all over, my face, my arms, my stomach. I was in so much pain.......

"Cut it out ladies!" They stopped throwing the balls at me at the behest of the
teacher. I stood up and grabbed my bookbag and limped out the gym.

I went to my favorite spot in between some lockers and broke down. No one knows,
he doesn't know, everywhere I go I'll always be bullied and nothing will ever
change.

Just as I looked up, Alfred was staring at me. He didn't say anything to me just
staring, what does he want? To berate me some more? To say that I'm just
overreacting? I don't want to hear it.

He looked like he was going to say something but Matthew shouted, "Let's go,
we're going to be late!"

He turned to him as if I wasn't even here!

"Coming Mattie!" He shouted with his smile again. He gave me one last glance
before walking off to class.

I just cried even harder, he acts like I'm doing this all for show, he doesn't
know the pain, he just doesn't know......

That was just awkward. What am I supposed to say to her? I can't help but feel
bad for her, if things were different I would probably be her friend or more
than a friend. She isn't ugly but we are in two different worlds, she doesn't
know.......
