Description First drawing of the decade, and I figured, what better motive than something about the happy 20's, now 100 years ago?

I had a history class, and we learned about the roaring 20s, but then the dirty 30’s.
I thought learning about how lively the 20s were was cool.. but learning about the 30s allowed me to see this whole new perspective. It was horribly interesting

Yes indeed, I think history class is an underrated subject, and an underrated setting for fiction.
Personally, I'd recommend the Downton Abbey movie if you want a good movie on the period,
though there's more fancy dress parties than roaring flapper parties there.

Nice.

But if the 20s we now are entering are going to be roaring as well, I fear they will be so in a less positive way.

True, but I think the most important things in these times is not to let apathy get to you.
If I couldn't tell myself there's hope, I wouldn't get up in the morning.

No problem. I'm to busy to have time for apathy.

That's really well done.
I like the dynamic pose and that expression so full of joy - also very feminin without being overly sexualized.
I can't wait to see her dance animated.

Thank you so much!

The fun thing with 20's fashion is how the body ideal was pretty much the opposite of today's,
instead of curvy, flat and slim girls were held up as an ideal and some would even wear
bustiers that flattened their chests, and short bobs were considered mannish when they came.
Food for thought!

Might be a while before I get around to animating her and all those floppy fringes though...
