Description
Fundrasier Endded the end of June.I made this in Copic Marker and Copic Ink Pens.
I made this because I wanted to help out Japan. My plan on youtube was for people make a fun rasier at thier school or whatever, example bake sale, car wash, etc.
And make a video of it and post it on youtube to send to me, so i know there is prove you rasied money for Japan.
And as a Reward I send out A copy of this fanart to them SIGNED with a Cosplay picture of myself as sasuke SIGNED as well, for FREE.

this is a photo reference of myself turning around and swinging the Katnana which is really that long LOL
and the arms i agree with, but i think its also cause im double jointed and it looks unnatural LOL!
i gota use someone with normal bones for now on xD

Oh this is so cool! You did great! The colors blend real easy and the details are good too. Critique: The face (Mainly eyes and mouth) could be better and the arms/torso look like his body is backwards.. I feel so mean xDD
But the legs look like he's twisting around too and the sword looks off. If you look at the case andthe sword they should like /, across each other.. So sorry.

Honestly, I think it's very good, and the backround is FABULOUS~ However, I do have some things I would like to point out, as I do not feel like I have the right to give a full critique. This is just my opinion, and some may not agree on it. I just thought maybe you'd like to know so you can improve.
The katana is amazing, and the amount of detail is amazing, but the hilt is far too large. Usually, the hilt of a katana is relatively thin, and goes a bit past the end of the grasping fist, but this depends on the grip. The clothing and wrinkles are awesome, and again, wonderful detail. However, I am a bit iffy on the pose. It doesn't quite seem natural. Now, I realize this is an anime drawing, and poses can be quite odd or extravagant, but this looks a little bit awkward.
The left arm (from viewer's perspective) all the way to the torso is fine, actually. The pose looks like he might just be turning around. But then the right arm is too high to possibly be comfortable, and the top part of the arm is too long in comparison to the forearm and the other arm. For the sheath, I love the little gray thing. The little things are often the most important. Now, the shoulders. I think the shoulders are what make the position look a bit off. You drew the shoulders and head as if he were facing forward, so it doesn't quite look as natural as it could be.
Last thing, the hair. I think you should try drawing the piecing and parting of the hair more prominently, especially because Nihon has black hair. As you drew it, it looks a bit too much like one blob of hair. As you know, hair isn't one giant mass, instead composed to individual strands. However, anime/manga style drawing does tune that down a bit, into pieces and large strands of hair. Try bringing that out a bit more, as well as making the highlights fit more to the shape of the hair instead of being blobs.
Overall, I really liked the drawing, and I really like the awesome cause you're doing this for. You're a great person with great potential, but everyone, no matter how great or terrible, has room to improve. I hope this helped! :3

As a fellow artist, I am always frustrated with the lack of good critique, so I thought it might help an artist aiming to go professional. If you make a manga, I WILL BUY IT. 8D
Holy crap, where did you get a seven foot long katana?
XD It's really useful to have a manikin. You can draw tricky poses and stuff, as well as getting the placement of the joints correct. I myself use myself as a model for poses so I understand the hardships. XP
And omg I'm talking to Joey! Sorry, total fangirl moment there. You rock dude! Or dudette. Whichever you prefer. XD

Wow, Joey. You are an amazing artist. I wish I knew how to draw like that. I mainly traced the Sasuke drawings you must have seen on my Shippudenpro28 DA. I think I'll stick to tracing, since that's what I'm best at. And coloring lineart I find on DA is what I'm best at.^^
