This is such a treasure.
Its funny. I'm about to upload a deviation which includes a couple of layers of an old envelope of my great grandpa's. The date in it is 1950. Seems like we think alike.

You know i love this. i love everything about it. the tones, the sepia, the old floor boards, the box, the photos, the open letter. wow. it really takes you back to the era and what an amazing era it was.

Just amazing. And so professionally taken.

Email is so unelegant and unromantic yep, but its real handy
But theres nothing quite like receiving a letter and reading through it, looking at the photos in your hand ... it was a totally wonderful era, for sure.

Have you seen "A Very Long Engagement"? its an awesome film with Audrey Tatou and the same director from Amelie. Set during WWII. Romantic and beautifully done. Beautiful music, costumes, script. I think you'd love it. Anyway, looking at your picture made me think of it
