Four. This was number four. Four lives she'd pulled out of the blaze.

Kveta kept the woman steady against her side. The air was thick with smoke and the unbearable heat, but she kept moving. Soon enough she reached the clearing she'd come in through, and deposited her charge into the arms of an awaiting medical aide. Trusting her to their care, Kveta turned on her heel and faced the fires again. A hand caught her sleeve, one of the surgeons.

"Miss! It's getting too dangerous! You can't go back in there!"

She pulled free, and gave the surgeon a look more befitting of a lion than a young woman.

"There are more people in there. Someone has to get them out."

Before the man could stop her, Kveta had already disappeared back into the chaotic mess of fire and smoke. Though her senses were trained on her surroundings, in her head she was repeating the same words over and over and over.

One more. Let me save just one more.
