200TH DEVIATION!!!
I dedicate this chapter to *moo-chi-64 because she wanted more Luxray, and I'm hiding from her chainsaw.

I woke up early the next morning. I stretched and blinked a few times to get the sleep out of my eyes. Once I woke up, I quietly jumped down the ledges and finally got down to the ground. I ran out of the hallway of dens and turned right to see what the weather was like outside.
When I looked out I saw the huge silhouette of Luxray sitting at the opening of the cave. I walked up closer to him.
“Luxray?” I said quietly.
Luxray turned and saw me, and then he smiled warmly at me, “Good morning, Lyra.” His voice was husky and welcoming. I smiled back and sat next to him.
“Are you settling in well?” Luxray asked.
“Yes, Bucky and Lucky showed me around and introduced me to everybody yesterday.”
Luxray nodded, “That’s good…Can I show you around some more? You haven’t seen everything yet, and I know where everything is here.”
I blushed and looked down, “You don’t need to do that, Luxray. I don’t want to be a bother.”
Luxray looked down at me, “It’s not a bother at all, Lyra. You need to know where everything is so you know where to go if you need something.” That kind of made me feel better about it. I nodded.
“Good, now let’s go.”
“Now?”
“Is that a problem?”
I shook my head, “No!”
“Then let’s go.”
I followed Luxray out of the cave and into the early morning air. The grass was wet with dew; I could feel the mist in the air from the small waterfall, and I could smell the fresh, clean air. We turned to the left after we exited the cave and I saw a valley of trees that flourished with fruit.
“This is where we get our food supply from. It’s the only place right now, but we’re trying to find more places to plant more trees.” Luxray said. I looked up in amazement at all of the fruit it carried. There were so many different kinds! Razz berries, Oran berries, even some I’ve never seen before! I was looking up into the tree tops when I saw something move. I shrugged it off and followed Luxray out of the tunnel of trees.
He led me to a hut made of grass. He had to duck to get inside when I only had to scamper right in.
“This is the medicine hut. Whenever you’re hurt or sick, you’ll need to come here so our ‘nurses’ can take care of you.” Luxray looked over and I followed his eyes. There was a sleeping Chansey and a Vulpix. It was still early, so that’s why Luxray was probably taking me and showing me everything.
We exited the medicine hut and he started going toward the lake. I fell back when he started stepping into the lake, and I stopped. He looked back at me,
“What’s wrong?” He looked worried.
I hadn’t told anyone that I was afraid of the water. I could sit next to the water, but I was terrified to go into it, no matter how shallow. Luxray climbed back out of the water, his legs and his belly soaking wet, and stood in front of me. I was slightly shaking, afraid of what he was going to say.
“Is there something wrong, Lyra?” He asked softly. I was shaking badly now. Just thinking about going into the water made me shake even more. I think Luxray got the idea.
“There’s a cave down in the lake where you can pop up on the other side of the mountain in case of emergencies. I was going to show you, but it looks like that’s not going to work.” I looked up at Luxray and he winked at me, almost telling me it was okay that I wouldn’t go in the water. My shaking slowed down a little, knowing that he understood.
Then the idea hit me, I would have to get unafraid of the water because there was a way out of here and I could get out and try and find a way back to my friends! Maybe Rin would help me? I would have to do it later, so that Luxray wouldn’t get suspicious.
