Description
It eventually came to light that the one Jay was friends with happened to be a fairy. Not that Jay ever tried to hide it- Jay simply never thought it necessary to mention. It came in an indirect way, like- "Yeah, we go for walks but he always flies near the end of them". Most Littles have never seen a fairy (and the ones that had never got to interact wth them), so you can only imagine they really wanted to meet this guy their schoolmate hangs out with.

When Jay brought it up to Dyami he immediately sensed his hesitation- the Little assured him he made no promises, whether he wanted to come or not was entirely up to him. Dyami was nervous, sure- but rather excited at the prospect. He agreed to go with Jay in the following day's afternoon.

The closer they got to their destination, the more the fairy grew anxious. Jay picked up on it and said they could turn around, but Dyami shook his head and marched forward. The Little looked at him for a few seconds to see if he'd change his mind under scruitiny before giving a light shrug and continuing ahead. Gotta give Dyami some credit- he was becoming more stressed than he let on.

When Jay finally introduced his best pal they were absolutely swarmed by curious eyes and questions. A few of the guys held some admiration towards this stranger for somehow becoming such close friends with their more aloof classmate, and a few of the girls openly commented on how nice looking Jay's friend was (to which Dyami responded by placing his hand beneath his nose and averting his gaze).

The buzzing voices and close proximity of all the people surrounding him escalated the fairy's fears to the surface; his breathing quickened and he became stiff. Jay silently acknowledged Dyami's tense posture and slung a loose hand over his shoulder; Unfortunately it did nothing to stop the spiraling out of control heart rate. What if I make an idiot out of myself? What if they all laugh? What if I embarrass him so much he doesn't want to be friends anymore??

By the time Jay noticed it was too late- Dyami had already blacked out.
