"Takeoff", pages 1-5.
After months of work, here it is! The first of some comics I’m putting together for my senior graphic novel project. This one’s a deceptively simple story about a fox and his bird pilot.
I’ve always loved drawing comics, but never before have I attempted one with this much care and planning. Please enjoy. <3

The poses for these characters are amazing, in the third to last panel, I love how the wing bends, it looks natural and yet like a human at the same time. I also love the character designs, you've managed to put a jacket on a bird, and if that isn't amazing, I don't know what is. The fox is absolutely adorable, I really want to pet the little guy <3 His scarf looks like it could flow beautifully. The storyline, It's pretty original, but I can see the theme of "Former Partner In Crime" being used anywhere. Wonderful story though. The impact of this piece was okay, I really liked how it ended in a sort of cliffhanger type thing. I absolutely love this, and I look forward for more.

Ooohhhh my gosh, this is absolutely phenomenal, I adore everything about this, the way you write and the gorgeous gorgeous coloring and hatching... man that first panel still leaves me in awe, the way you did the hatching across the trees-!!! Gorgeous! <3

I've never had so much fun drawing trees, seriously! Thank you so much...with comics I feel like there's so many different aspects to it, so it's really nice to hear they're working in concert. ;o;

Comics are so nice because of that though I feel, they're so open-ended but I always end up thinking very linearly/plainly whenever I design my pages/panels, but your comic was so brilliantly composed so I'm always in awe of comics like yours-! <3

There are so many things to love about your comic. The colours, the news cast narrative, and the animal characters. I especially like how you draw the human-shaped birds. Reading your work gives me such a nice feeling. Thanks for sharing it.

This short story is only 20 pages, so it's done. I might make more to do with these guys someday though. Glad you enjoyed it enough to want to read more, thanks!
