You have your assaults, scouts, medics, snipers, your heavy’s and then there’s the support troops. These two while combat ready have abilities or gear that specialize in aiding those around them as you can count on them to have your back in a fight;

Reyna Ramirez-Arellano – the former praetor of Camp Jupiter. On the north shore of Long Island, New York hidden in a mystic veil from mortal eyes is Camp Half-Blood where modern day demigods of the Greek Gods are trained. Unknowingly to the demigod campers (I believe Chiron knew but it’s been awhile), there was another demigod camp on the other side of the United States. Located in Oakland Hills, California was the Roman counterpart of Camp Half-Blood; Camp Jupiter. While Camp Half-Blood was more summer camp like despite the intense monster fighting and training, Camp Jupiter was WAY harsher than the Greek Camp. Campers of Jupiter were more disciplined, formal, and warlike were only the strong are respected. Camp Jupiter even had its own republic system, and one of the high ranking officers of the Roman Republic who was the commander of the Roman army or Praetor of Camp Jupiter was this hardcore chick; Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano (try saying that 5 times fast). Before becoming the Praetor of New Rome, she was born as the child of Roman Goddess of War Bellona and Julian Ramirez-Arellano. Julian was once a gentle man but after serving as a soldier in the war in Iraq he became a completely different man, believing that there were enemies everywhere including in his own home. His paranoia was so intense he became a ghost or a mania and when he one night attacked Reyna’s older sister Hylla, Reyna grabbed a saber and accidently vaporized him after discovering the saber was made of a mythic metal; Imperial Gold. The two sisters ran away and somehow ended up finding and living with the Greek Sorceress Circe, which after some years later they’re home got destroyed (Percy Jackson was involved but away) by Blackbeard himself and the two were captured. Since they were both daughters of a war goddess, learning how to fight and use weapons didn’t take long for them to learn and they freed themselves. Unfortunately, Hylla and Reyna decided to go their separate ways, Hylla found and eventually became leader of the Amazons while Reyna found and became a Praetor of Camp Jupiter with Jason Grace at the time. Reyna as a demigod of a war goddess, she was born to fight and is very good at it. Like most demigods Reyna has ADHD and Dyslexia which in the world of Percy Jackson heighten your senses and reflexes. Her ADHD gives her inborn supernatural battle reflexes that she can use to analyze her opponents fighting style, her Dyslexia makes her brain “hardwired” to understand and speak certain languages but mainly Latin (She speaks English and is fluent in Spanish since she was born and raised in Puerto Rico). Reyna is naturally skilled in swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat but is more proficient with her spear or knife. She is practically an expert with any weapon she wields, she can even skillfully wield two different weapons at once as she fought off and defeat a group of pirates just by duel wielding. Reyna wields an imperial gold spear that can alternate between a spear and a sword to her will. She also has an imperial gold dagger, a silver pocket knife for against lycanthropes, a magic satchel that contains healing potions, tranquilizer darts and a highly portable tent when she says a secret word, and her Aegis Cloak that has been enchanted by the Greek Goddess Athena herself which is now invulnerable. Being part god Reyna is also physically stronger than an average mortal. As the daughter of Bellona Reyna has the ability of empowerment, what this means is that she can share her strength and courage with others, she can share her strength with either one person or in large groups which is more effective. During the Trials of Apollo series Reyna no longer becomes a Praetor and becomes… a Hunter of Artemis…. While she does gain awesome abilities and becomes slightly stronger and faster then when she was a demigod, I’m not a fan of the Hunters of Artemis and think Reyna deserves better but that’s just my opinion. Anyway, as a Hunter of Artemis not only is she physically stronger than regular demigod’s she can communicate with animals loyal to Artemis and she became an immortal and is immune to disease. Reyna is an awesome character, not only did she become in charge of Camp Juipters army at a young age but she along with Nico di Angelo transported the Athena Parthenos back to Camp Half-Blood from Greece! She fought a horde of wolves lead by Lycaon with just a knife, survived an explosive arrow pointblank thanks to her cloak, held her own against the giant Polybotes and slaughtered his monster army while riding a Pegasus, fended off an army of ghosts by herself, knocked out Thalia Grace while tied to a chair, aided the Seven Chosen Demigods and defeated and killed the giant son of Gaea Orion himself who was trained by Artemis and killed a group of Amazons and Hunters of Artemis at once. While Reyna is absolutely amazing and even though she’s immortal hunter of artemis as a hunter she can still die from combat or lose her immortality if she defects or falls in love (which is what I hope happens). Her empowerment ability does have a side-effect, when sharing her strength, she feels any emotions of those she grants strength to and her roman tattoo burns her when she uses this ability. She also doesn’t like it when people say her full name.

Brigitte Lindholm – daughter of Torbjorn and companion of Reinhardt Wilhelm. Overwatch, a united global organization designed to protect humanity during an event known as the Omnic Crisis. Overwatch consisted many scientists, soldiers, adventure and thrill seekers and other odd yet unique individuals to help aid in this war. Adventurer Reinhardt Wilhelm and Chief Engineer Torbjorn Lindholm were not just agents of Overwatch but very close friends, to the point where Reinhardt became the god father of Torbjorn’s youngest child; Brigitte Lindholm. Out of all of Torbjorn’s children, Brigitte had an interest in mechanical engineering, mirroring her aptitude of her father. Brigitte’s real interest, however, was armor fabrication and defensive systems unlike her father who made weapons. As a child Reinhardt would tell tales of heroes and chivalry and it inspired her to someday join Overwatch. As Overwatch’s fall however, Reinhardt became a knight-errant on a quest to bring peace despite his forced retirement. Before he left, he was surprised by Brigitte who asked to join him to be his squire and help him do good in the world which her godfather gladly accepted. They would go on many adventures until one day Reinhardt received a recall order from Winston, an old friend who wanted to revive Overwatch as a new Omnic threat was incoming. While against it at first for how she thought of how Overwatch treated her godfather horribly by forcing him to retire, Reinhardt accepted the call and she resolved to support her mentor and joined Overwatch. While picking up engineering skills from her father, she is trained and spars with Reinhardt every day who was part of the German Armed Forces and a lieutenant in the Crusaders as well as one of Overwatch’s finest soldiers. Unlike other supports she is a front-line unit who provides protection similar to tanks rather than staying on the backlines. She realized that being a mechanic wasn’t enough to aid Reinhardt and became a warrior while developing her own set of armor and weaponry. Brigitte wields a Rocket Flail, a mace that can extended up to 6 meters. Just like her godfather Brigitte too wields a Barrier Shield, an energy barrier designed to absorb limited amounts of damage but can heal over time. She also carries heal packs which restore a large amount of health to a target, if the healing reaches the targets maximum health, they will gain armor instead which will last until enough damage is done. Her Shield can also stun enemies when she uses Shield Bash and can dash forward while doing it. Her ultimate ability is Rally, not only can she move faster but provides all nearby allies with armor that lasts until its removed by damage. Brigitte while new to Overwatch is a worthy ally as both a soldier and a mechanic. Brigitte is still young and in training, when she launches her flail, she is leaving herself vulnerable. Her special attacks and abilities also have cooldowns and will take time before she can use them again. She is also vulnerable to heavy damage users like Junkrat or Bastion (who isn’t?) and is a large hit box for snipers and tanks. Brigitte is capable of devastating burst damage that can take her opponent off-guard and kill them before they can react.

“In stories, the heroes get the honor and glory. But their gleaming armor, their mighty weapons, the people who built them were heroes in their own right. And I thought I was going to follow in their footsteps. But a hammer and tools can't fix every problem. There are some things that can never be repaired. It's not enough to wait until the battle is over to fix their armor and bandage their wounds.
