Technology is rising without a doubt, we’ve reach to the point where we can create machines that can think for themselves and understand the basics of human emotion. In 2017 a robot with AI named Sophia was the first robot granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia who is an advocate for women's rights in their country. However there is also a fear that technology will rule and control the planet and replace humanity, in fictional cases world domination like the Terminator series. Today these two are on the side of humanity and are pros when it comes to slaying machines;

Battle of the Machine Slayers!

2B – YoRHa Android. In the distant future of 11945 AD, a war rages humanity and an alien machine army from another world. Humanity was losing and was forced to flee to the Moon, where they have established a base to come up with a plan to save and return to their home. The humans decided to fight with machine against machine as they created sets of highly advanced combat androids dubbed "YoRHa" to fight the invaders in a proxy war. Although denied emotions and lacking true names, they each have particular attitudes, skills and personalities that distinguish them from one another. These androids are tasked to assist a self-sufficient Resistance on Earth to help drive back the Machines, one of these YoRHa androids is model number 2 type B, aka 2B. 2B is an all-purpose battle android equipped with a multitude of weapons for close quarters combat. She has a cool, calm, and collected personality as 2B will follow any order without question and is reputable among fellow androids for her serious nature. She is partnered with a Pod support system named Pod 042 that gives 2B advice based on certain situations like battle strategy, knowledge of human behavior, a direct link to chain of command, and can perform various long-range attacks. 2B is also partnered with a scanner android called 9S who specializes in investigative purposes and gathering information. 2B and 9S start to bond as they do missions for command and helping the resistance, however there is a dark side to 2B’s real mission. See 9S is a S class model who are top-notched models with superior hacking abilities, he can even hack machines and make them self-destruct themselves. Command knew that 9S would eventually discover the truth about Project YoRHa and the Council of Humanity, which was the fact that humanity has become extinct and when androids started to figure it out they began to lose their morality as they lost the one thing which they were programmed to protect. So Project YoRHa was an idea that gave the androids a purpose again by saying the remains of humanity is on the moon, so if they died during battle they would believe it was an honorable death as martyrs for the glory of mankind. They would have died with purpose just as Command intended them to, even if it was based on a lie. 9S because of his detective and hacking abilities, would always suspect something wasn’t right with the organization. Thus the Commander had 2B created or her real number 2E, Class E androids were a special class used for the execution of certain YoRHa members; they would take on the appearance of certain people to maintain constant contact with their target. The Commander issued an order for 2B to kill 9S every time he would discover the truth, this put 2B in emotional grief from killing 9S numerous times in the past which is why she maintains a completely platonic and distant relationship with 9S. Despite her true mission and dark purpose, she deeply cares for 9S. Sadness aside, 2B is quite a badass as she's been able to effortlessly take down armies of machines and some machines the size of skyscrapers that can survive nuclear level attacks. 2B can wield a verity of weapons like swords, lances, and gauntlets but her main weapons are the Virtuous Contract a medium length katana and the Virtuous Treaty large sword which she can wield both at the same time. Her skills at hand to hand combat especially shows with her enhanced agility, strength, and durability despite weighing 328 lbs. 2B is strong enough to with stand blows from other androids and Goliath class enemies which are the size of towers and can jump over buses and leap across buildings like its nothing. The blind fold she wears are actually augmented-reality heads-up-display combat visors, think of them as a Microsoft Hololens but really super thin. The visor offers details regarding the enemy's strength and health, details regarding the environment, 2B's own status, and analysis of her environment from sound waves. 2B can gain extra abilities if she’s equipped with Plug-In Chips like Overclock which slows down time after evading an enemy's attack with perfect timing, Auto-Heal, Vengeance creates a chance to automatically deflect a percentage of damage back to the enemy, Offensive Heal allows her to recover health by dealing damage to the enemy, and so on. 2B also has a self-destruct function if the situation requires it, a powerful attack but she’s left very weak. 2B’s support system Pod 042 also helps her glide across large gaps, advice and analyses the enemies as well as the environment, and is capable of taking control of enemy weapons. Pod 042 can definitely handle itself as its primary weapon fires bullets in a Gatling gun fashion and can also launch a cluster of explosives. Pod 042 also has a customizable secondary weapon sets but its main set is the R010: Laser which as you can figure out a huge laser with immense power. R020: Mirage lets pod analyzes the environment immediately allowing 2B to deliver a swift series of slashes in an instant, R030: Hammer pod summons an energy construct shaped like a large hammer and slams it down on the enemies, R040: Blade pod turns into a blade and begins spinning rapidly around 2B slicing any enemies that touch it, R050: Spear pod summons a row of spears from beneath the enemy, R060: P Shield pod summons a barrier around 2B that blocks all melee attacks, R070: M Shield pod summons an omnidirectional barrier that blocks all projectiles, A080: Wave 2B slams the pod into the ground creating an omnidirectional wave that damages all enemies, A090: Wire pod fires a laser wire and if it connects with an enemy it will launch 2B towards the enemy, A100: Decoy pod creates a perfect copy of 2B to distract enemies, A110: Slow pod creates a field that distorts space and time and all foes that are trapped in this field will have their speed severely reduced, A120: Repair pod emits a light that heals 2B's wounds, A130: Bomb pod fires a fusillade of small explosive projectiles, A140: Gravity pod creates a field that sucks all nearby enemies in, A150: Volt pod unleashes a shock that deals residual damage to an enemy and slows them down, and A160: Missile 2B grabs onto pod and it charges forward at full speed like a lance damaging those who get in the way. If Pod wasn’t overpowered enough, 2B like other androids has a Flight Unit that are small mechs that all YoRHas can pilot. The Flight Units can switch between two modes, one focused on mobility by transforming into a mini jet and another focused-on combat. The Units can fire fusillades energy bullets, are equipped with a large beam sword that can slice through huge machines, and has a special attack that fires a myriad of bullets simultaneously. 2B is crazy strong, she’s defeated Emil and clones of Emil who is a cursed human superweapon created to take on things that threaten the planet, killed the alien androids Adam and with 9S Eve, can survive her own self-destruction, traded blows with other YoRHa elites and survived, can withstand getting hacked by Beauvoir, survived a battle with A2 who is technically a prototype model of 2B that survived a point-blank nuclear-grade detonation, destroyed several tanks, fought and destroyed kaiju sized machines even without her Flight Unit, and fought against Matsuda Yosuke and Kenichi Saito who are the CEOs of Square-Enix and Platinum Games cause why not? 2B and her arsenal will get almost any job done but she has her weaknesses, because she’s a robot she is vulnerable to being hacked and this was what caused her death, to a certain degree is vulnerable to EMP charges, her self-destruction depletes most of her health and destroys her clothes, Pod 042 programs have to cool down after being used and she can only equip one program at a time, and my god is she a huge victim to Rule 34 (She’s a f***ing robot! Plus her weight will crush you!)

Aloy – protagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn. In the year 2033, a man named Ted Faro created a company called Faro Automated Solutions. Faro was a trillion-dollar company that built personal servitors and bodyguard-bots, and saved the planet from basically global warming with the creation of the green robots and its environmental cleanup and detoxification efforts led by Dr. Elisabet Sobeck. By the end of the 2040s, Faro decided to shift the company's focus on green robotics to the military-industrial complex, and opened FAS's military defense branch effectively turning FAS into a military contractor. The company's change of stance significantly alienated Dr. Sobeck, who quit FAS and founded Miriam Technologies. By 2055, FAS controlled 61% of the market share for automated military platforms, holding contracts with 353 nations, trans-governmental organizations, and corporate entities. Despite the company's successes and reputation, FAS did not hesitate to increase its profits through deceitful methods. FAS was willingly to sold their combat platforms to clients on opposing sides and discreetly encouraged conflicts between them, which in turn led their clients to buy more FAS technologies. Ted practically had the world in the palm of his hands and didn’t care who bought his creations, until the Faro Plague. In 2064, one of the robots in Faro Automated Solutions' Chariot line of military "peacekeeper" robots suffered a glitch which created an error that severed their chain of command protocols. The glitch spread to the other robots and they began attacking they’re superiors, what made this even worse was that Ted programed the robots to have an alternative fuel source for emergencies which he thought biomass would be a good idea and they robots had the ability to self-replicate. The Faro robots began to replicate on a massive scale and consumed entire ecosystems to fuel themselves, as well as entire human populations and became a global threat. Ted contacted Elisabet Sobeck for help but by the time they met the Earth would have 15 months before every single species and all organic matter, including humans, would be consumed leaving the planet lifeless and sterile. With the time Elisabet had she came up with Project Zero Dawn; a top-secret reseeding and terraforming project that would repair and repopulate the Earth after the robots had wiped everything out. Despite everyone’s deaths including Elisabet’s, the project was completed and Earth was restored many years after the robots had devoured everything on Earth and thanks to her life on Earth had been given another chance. How does this relate to Aloy? Well part of Project Zero Dawn a single artificial intelligence named GAIA, once all life had been extinguished GAIA developed a countermeasure to deactivate all of the Faro robots and then build its own robots to restore the Earth's biosphere. Once the planet was habitable again, GAIA reseeded life on Earth based on stored DNA and taught the first human clones not to repeat their predecessors' past mistakes. It was going according to plan until HADES, one of GAIA's subsystems designed to enact controlled extinction if the outcome of Zero Dawn was not favorable for human existence, tried to seize control of her functions. As a last resort, GAIA self-destructed in order to stop HADES in which she succeeds but doesn’t destroy HADES. Without GAIA to maintain the terraforming process, the entire system began to break down. As a contingency plan, GAIA created a clone of Dr. Sobeck in the form of Aloy since Sobeck was her closet thing to a friend, in the hope that she would find GAIA's message, destroy HADES, and restore GAIA's functions. This plan wouldn’t be such a gamble if Aloy had some sort of message attached to her when she was found inside a mountain when she was a baby. Aloy was released from the chamber where she was created by GAIA in the 31st century where humans have regressed to primitive tribal societies that refer to their technologically advanced predecessors as the "Old Ones” and where humanity coexist with large robotic creatures known as "machines" that now dominate the Earth. Because Aloy was found “Motherless” by the elders of the Nora tribe, she was declared an outcast but was adopted and raised by another outcast named Rost. Growing up was hard for Aloy since for as long as she’s lived the villagers treated her differently and the kids would throw rocks at her and she didn’t know why. Wanting to know about her past she learns about a competition called the Proving that tests ones strength and survival skills. Those who finish the Proving are awarded the status of Brave, and the winner is allowed to ask anything of the Matriarchs even if their outcasts. From a child to the age of 18 Rost trains Aloy how to fight and survive against machines and the very landscape itself. Aloy competes in the Proving and the rest of her story involves learning about her past as well as the return of HADES who is worshipped by a cult called the Eclipse (Long bio I know). Calling Aloy a skilled hunter is a bit of an underestimate as she’s accomplished and taken down things even great hunters can’t do. Aloy is acrobatic as she is very nimble and can scale rock faces with ease, an expert fighter as she’s single handedly fought other hunters and dangerous machines, is a highly proficient archer, during her quest developed an intricate knowledge of machines and can combine materials salvaged from them with natural materials in order to craft ammunition, traps, and tools, is a master at stealth, and as she learned the truth of her origin and what happened 1000 years ago she’s developed a scientific mind. This is demonstrating that she is a quick learner and while everyone see’s machines as god like creatures she understands what they are, how the function and work, and even self-taught herself how to repair them. As a child Aloy obtained a Focus, a small augmented reality device that gives her special perceptive abilities, with it she can track enemy walk patterns, mark enemies in the area, analysis machine weapons and weaknesses, communicate with others who also have Focuses, and since she is a clone of Elisabet her Focus let’s her have access to all Faro facilities. Aloy has multiply weapons but uses her two primary weapons, her bow and spear. With her bow she can fire shock arrows, freeze arrows, corruption arrows (makes machines attack everything around them which includes Aloy), fire arrows, regular arrows, hardpoint arrows (medium impact and higher tear damage to machine armor), precision arrow (sniping arrows), harvest arrows (low Impact damage but moderate Tear damage), and tearblast arrows (no Impact damage but very high Tear damage using a blast of compressed air, guaranteed to remove armor and components). Her other main weapon is her spear for close combat but after destroying a Corruptor she attached a component to her spear that allows her to Override or hack and take control machines, and after her final mission with Sylens acquired the Master Override which was a “kill switch” for GAIA if it failed but Aloy used it to purge HADES. Her other weapons included a short-ranged bolt gun that fires five arrows per shot called a Rattler, the Ropecaster pins down targets, the Sling is basically a slingshot that can fire fire, shock, freeze, or explosive bombs, the Tearblaster is a short-range ranged weapon that fires blasts of compressed air that easily strip armor and components from machines and stagger human enemies, and the Tripcaster is a stealth weapon that creates tripwire-based traps specializing in three elemental ammo types: shock, fire, and blast. In Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC story she gains three additional weapons; the Stormslinger is a spear that can fire charged bolts of electricity (can still Override), Forgefire is a flamethrower that also can shoot fire balls, and Icerail is like Forgefire but with ice but freezes instead of damage but can fire ice shards. Aloy is more than a Brave, she’s fought powerful machines like the giant Stormbirds, Tyrannosaurus Rex machines called Thunderjaws that fire missiles that shoot lasers, Rockbreakers which are highly durable, dig underground and sense vibrations, Behemoths which are huge machines that have the power of antigravity, Sawtooth’s (imagine a sabertooth cat with a railgun on its back), Corruptors which are very agile and can hack machines around them to fight for it, Deathbringers which are walking arsenals of mass destruction with legs, Fire or Frostclaws which are giant robot bears that have fire or ice cannons depending which you fight, and there’s other crazy machines she’s single handedly beaten. Aside from machine enemies Aloy defeated the cult Eclipse and saved the world from HADES mass extinction, won 1st place in the Proving, survived the Proving massacre, was appointed as the Seeker which only very few people on the planet are granted (basically like the avatar where she goes help people and is given special privileges), also defeated GAIA’s other subordinate function HEPHAESTUS which was tasked to design, manufacture, and deploy any machine to ensure the Project Zero Dawn’s completion but since humans were killing its creations HEPHAESTUS thought that making its creations more deadly would protect its work and it was HEPHAESTUS that started the derangement of the machines throughout the story. Aloy may look young and she can be sarcastic but she’s compassionate and sympathetic to others in need and she will certainly get the job done.

It was going according to plan until HADES, one of GAIA's subsystems designed to enact controlled extinction if the outcome of Zero Dawn was not favorable for human existence, tried to seize control of her functions. As a last resort, GAIA self-destructed in order to stop HADES in which she succeeds but doesn’t destroy HADES. Without GAIA to maintain the terraforming process, the entire system began to break down. As a contingency plan, GAIA created a clone of Dr. Sobeck in the form of Aloy since Sobeck was her closet thing to a friend, in the hope that she would find GAIA's message, destroy HADES, and restore GAIA's functions. This plan wouldn’t be such a gamble if Aloy had some sort of message attached to her when she was found inside a mountain when she was a baby. Aloy was released from the chamber where she was created by GAIA in the 31st century where humans have regressed to primitive tribal societies that refer to their technologically advanced predecessors as the "Old Ones” and where humanity coexist with large robotic creatures known as "machines" that now dominate the Earth. Because Aloy was found “Motherless” by the elders of the Nora tribe, she was declared an outcast but was adopted and raised by another outcast named Rost. Growing up was hard for Aloy since for as long as she’s lived the villagers treated her differently and the kids would throw rocks at her and she didn’t know why. Wanting to know about her past she learns about a competition called the Proving that tests ones strength and survival skills. Those who finish the Proving are awarded the status of Brave, and the winner is allowed to ask anything of the Matriarchs even if their outcasts. From a child to the age of 18 Rost trains Aloy how to fight and survive against machines and the very landscape itself. Aloy competes in the Proving and the rest of her story involves learning about her past as well as the return of HADES who is worshipped by a cult called the Eclipse (Long bio I know). Calling Aloy a skilled hunter is a bit of an underestimate as she’s accomplished and taken down things even great hunters can’t do. Aloy is acrobatic as she is very nimble and can scale rock faces with ease, an expert fighter as she’s single handedly fought other hunters and dangerous machines, is a highly proficient archer, during her quest developed an intricate knowledge of machines and can combine materials salvaged from them with natural materials in order to craft ammunition, traps, and tools, is a master at stealth, and as she learned the truth of her origin and what happened 1000 years ago she’s developed a scientific mind. This is demonstrating that she is a quick learner and while everyone see’s machines as god like creatures she understands what they are, how the function and work, and even self-taught herself how to repair them. As a child Aloy obtained a Focus, a small augmented reality device that gives her special perceptive abilities, with it she can track enemy walk patterns, mark enemies in the area, analysis machine weapons and weaknesses, communicate with others who also have Focuses, and since she is a clone of Elisabet her Focus let’s her have access to all Faro facilities. Aloy has multiply weapons but uses her two primary weapons, her bow and spear. With her bow she can fire shock arrows, freeze arrows, corruption arrows (makes machines attack everything around them which includes Aloy), fire arrows, regular arrows, hardpoint arrows (medium impact and higher tear damage to machine armor), precision arrow (sniping arrows), harvest arrows (low Impact damage but moderate Tear damage), and tearblast arrows (no Impact damage but very high Tear damage using a blast of compressed air, guaranteed to remove armor and components). Her other main weapon is her spear for close combat but after destroying a Corruptor she attached a component to her spear that allows her to Override or hack and take control machines, and after her final mission with Sylens acquired the Master Override which was a “kill switch” for GAIA if it failed but Aloy used it to purge HADES. Her other weapons included a short-ranged bolt gun that fires five arrows per shot called a Rattler, the Ropecaster pins down targets, the Sling is basically a slingshot that can fire fire, shock, freeze, or explosive bombs, the Tearblaster is a short-range ranged weapon that fires blasts of compressed air that easily strip armor and components from machines and stagger human enemies, and the Tripcaster is a stealth weapon that creates tripwire-based traps specializing in three elemental ammo types: shock, fire, and blast. In Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC story she gains three additional weapons; the Stormslinger is a spear that can fire charged bolts of electricity (can still Override), Forgefire is a flamethrower that also can shoot fire balls, and Icerail is like Forgefire but with ice but freezes instead of damage but can fire ice shards. Aloy is more than a Brave, she’s fought powerful machines like the giant Stormbirds, Tyrannosaurus Rex machines called Thunderjaws that fire missiles that shoot lasers, Rockbreakers which are highly durable, dig underground and sense vibrations, Behemoths which are huge machines that have the power of antigravity, Sawtooth’s (imagine a sabertooth cat with a railgun on its back), Corruptors which are very agile and can hack machines around them to fight for it, Deathbringers which are walking arsenals of mass destruction with legs, Fire or Frostclaws which are giant robot bears that have fire or ice cannons depending which you fight, and there’s other crazy machines she’s single handedly beaten. Aside from machine enemies Aloy defeated the cult Eclipse and saved the world from HADES mass extinction, won 1st place in the Proving, survived the Proving massacre, was appointed as the Seeker which only very few people on the planet are granted (basically like the avatar where she goes help people and is given special privileges), also defeated GAIA’s other subordinate function HEPHAESTUS which was tasked to design, manufacture, and deploy any machine to ensure the Project Zero Dawn’s completion but since humans were killing its creations HEPHAESTUS thought that making its creations more deadly would protect its work and it was HEPHAESTUS that started the derangement of the machines throughout the story. Aloy may look young and she can be sarcastic but she’s compassionate and sympathetic to others in need and she will certainly get the job done.
