Description
Concept art I made for a possible job opportunity. Can't go into details 'bout the project but I had to be a lot more realistic than I usually am in my style. Quite a challenge, actually, but I am pleased with the result.Started with a bit of stock photography for the tank, and then just painted on top of that...I'm guessing the pic is about 90-95% painting and 5-10% photo by now.

Ah, man, that so awesome! Looks like a piece of concept art for some cool blockbuster!
And the tanks is obviously a Merkava, although I'm not sure which one exactly. I would place my one on Mk. III, probably an early mod. Am I right?
Oh, and you'll be laughing but I figured out it's a Merkava even before I spotted the ambulance with the red David star in the background...

Those are Israeli troops. If you notice the vechical in the back it has the star of david then the tank is an Israeli made tank. I notice because I seen these when I was in Israel during conflict with Lebanon and from looking at their rifles it looks like they are carrying M-4's if not the M-16A2 rifles then you have to look at their uniforms and helmats those are Israeli designs. Anyways nice drawing

I thought as I looked at it - "Those soldiers look Israeli" - then I looked closer and saw the Shield of David on the vehicle back there.
I'm guessing this is a reference to the Six Day War or Yom Kippur War?
