From now on, every 20th of November would be Mika day!I'm not sure if Diz would really say out this quote, at least we do assume it since we get much Mika-related art yesterday~
I plan to do a fangirling Diz in before, but meh I'll change to this one, which is even better (at least I think XD). So, Happy Mika Day~

Cute characters are a big staple of the PC-98 era, and one of the many reasons I love it. I myself am very much all about that PC-98 era of Touhou as most people know by now. ^^

I myself do not really know much about the history of the PC-98 Touhou era, especially the story of Lotus Land Story (since the Translate patch is faulty)

The generic stage enemies and non-bipedal midbosses are a little harder to get behind as 'characters', though I think even they deserve more usage in fanart, even if it's in the background since they are often left out too.

Like I said before when this all started, I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. While the bulk of the fan artwork was from the 19th, November 20th really does provide us with a nice even date for all this considering people jumped in later with fan art for her.
I appreciate you taking the time to find the artists and crediting them for the Mika artwork, and I hope folks are enamored like I am with the idea of giving a character like Mika a day just for her. I will never forget what you guys have done nor the artists that drew Mika on this day. May we bring this character and those like her the love and care they originally never got.
Oh, and perhaps we can bring this day to Pixiv someday, too. I would love to see what they could do for her. ^^

Not really, she was created whenever ZUN made her. It just so happened that for us we took the day to make a bunch of Mika pictures out of appreciation for her. ^^

It's no problem. Many Touhou character days often don't follow a birthday so I see this as no different. While characters like Cirno have a significant day to their name, there are many Touhou character days that are not as symbolic date wise n' all.
